Here Are some situations I had to deal with, with making numerous decks. I had to make this descision for my deck because I had a good amount of Magikarp and Gyarados. Blastoise Vs. Dewgong-WATER Dewgong is a stage 1 pokemon, and Blastoise is a stage 2 pokemon(DEWGONG). Blastoise has 100HP, and Dewgong has 80HP(BLASTOISE). Blastoise's 1st attack let's you attach an extra water energy card to a pokemon while It costs 3 energy cards to do 50 damage(BLASTOISE). Dewgong's 2nd attack does 30 damage and costs 4 energy, but can paralyze, while Blastoise's 2nd attack does 40+ damage, but the first time around it does 40 damage costing 3 energy(DEWGONG). Since this is a tie I decided Dewgong is easier to maintain so I picked Dewgong. Rapidash Vs. Arcanine-FIRE Arcanine has 100HP, and Rapidash has 70HP(ARCANINE). Rapidash's 1st attack does 20+ damage costing 2 energy and it can do 10 more damage, and Arcanine's 1st attack does 50 damage costing 3 energy but also makes you discard a fire energy(RAPIDASH). Arcanine's 2nd attack does 80 damage, but does 30 damage to itself and it costs 4 energy. Rapidash's 2nd attack does 30 damage, costing 3 energy but can avoid all damage during the next turn(ARCANINE). Rapidash's retreat cost is 0, but Arcanine's is 3(RAPIDASH). so i picked Rapidash. Vileplume Vs. Venusaur-LEAF Venusaur has 100HP, and Vileplume has 80HP(Venusaur). Venusaur's Pokemon Power Can transfer energy from a pokemon to another, but Vileplume's Pokemon Power has a 50/50 chance of removing 1 damage counter from one of your pokemon (Vileplume). Venusaur's 2nd attack does 60 damage costing 4 energy, and Vileplume's 2nd attack does 40 damage times the number of heads, and you get 3 chances. It also costs 3 energy, but confuses Himself, so the attack has a chance to do 0-120 damage or 240 damage because Water is weak against it(Vileplume). so i picked Vileplume. Raichu Vs. Zapdos-Lightning Zapdos is a basic pokemon, and Raichu is a stage 1 pokemon(Zapdos). Zapdos has 90HP, and Raichu has 80HP(Zapdos). Raichu has no resistence, but Zapdos does(Zapdos). Zapdos has no weakness, but Raichu does(Zapdos). Raichu's 2nd attack and Zapdos' 1st attack is the same. Raichu's 1st attack does 20 damage and costs 3 energy+ you have a 50/50 chance of preventing all damage next turn, and Zapdos' 2nd attack does 100 damage, but discards all energy attached to it (Raichu). Raichu's retreat cost is 1 energy, and Zapdos' retreat cost is 3 energy(Raichu). so i picked Zapdos. Josh C Drk46@aol.com
