Dear Pojo,

This is an article about a card that is worring me; Aerodactyle.

I haven't spent MUCh time looking over spoilers for Fossil, but if there IS 
one card that caught my eye, its this guy.  Half of my attention to this 
card is due to how good the card is, and the other half, is as a result of 
my worry on how this card is going to effect the game play...not for 
advanced players, but for younger, more inexperienced ones.

Evolution: Stage 1 - from Fossil
Name: Aerodactyl
Level: 28
HP: 60
Weakness: Grass
Resistance: Fighting -30
Retreat Cost: 2
Attacks:
Power: Primitive Strength: While this card is in play, neither player may 
evolve any pokemon.  This power may not be used if Aerodactyl is Confused, 
Asleep or Paralyzed.
[3] Wing Attack (30)

The POkemon Power is One game altering effect.  NO EVOLUTIONS?  OUCH...that 
means NO more raindance...PERIOD, no more 
CHARIZARD...PERIOd...no...more....Fun?   Now listen, OF COURSE THERE ARE 
WAYS TO BEAT THIS, put him to sleep or kill him, by dragging him forward 
with gust of wind, but to tell you the truth, its not as sure as G.O.w. a 
Mr. mime up front.  This guys tough. GREEn seems to be the best bet to stop 
this Juggernaught.  Paralyze doesn't even effect him...in fact, paralyzing 
him, HELPS the player WITH the Aerodactyle.  What I'm MOSTLY afraid of, is 
how its going to effect the younger players...the ones that play EVERY 
evolution card they have, simply because they like the pokemon.  Its almost 
CRUEL to play such a Game altering card against a player who doesn't 
understand. I, personally, am dissapointed that the card exsists, for this 
reason, BUUUT, as an avid Pokemon player....I LOVE THE 
BIRD/DINASAUR/whatever...:)

HE HAS EVERYTHING I NEED IN MY POKEMON!   res. to fighting, High HP, 
COLORLESS ATTACK FOR 30!!!!   This guy could get into ANY DECK! ANY COLOR!   
When I go to tournys, I don't play with evolutions, they are just to slow 
and clumsy for me, so this guy would be a GREAT addition.  Aerodactyle ALONE 
can shut down HALF of a players deck!  Probably some of Haymakers WORST 
problems is fast evolving pokemon, that it can't kill Real 
quickly...Aerodactyle solves this.  The ONLY downfall that i see on the guy, 
is that he IS an evolution...but from a frivalous trainer card...hehe, so no 
worries of giving your opponent a prize if he nabs 'em.  Now, he STILL is an 
evolution card, so that IS a drawback, but once hes out....no more for your 
opponent:)

Now don't write to me about "ways to kill/get around Aerodactyle" because I 
KNOW there are. EVERY POKEMON has a weakness.  If anything, Aerodactyle is 
the time staller NEEDED for decks that can't handle Heavy evolutions.  
Telling me how he can die won't change his strength.

p.s. Note**  Aerodactyle, from what I've heard, is going for a higher bid 
than CHARIZARD, over in Japan...imagin that, a pokemon worth more than 
charizard....lol:)
