I've went to a few tournaments (many of which where the people had bought 
Japanese Jungle boosters), including a recent one where almost EVERYONE had 
Jungle boosters. However, no one liked the Meowth or Persian card everyone 
saying "Why would I put them in my deck? THEY SUCK!". 

Most of them didn't even look at those two that much. They were too obsessed 
with Mr. Mime (gimme a break!) . Well, with Meowth and Persian's resistance 
to Psychic. Meowth's Pay day might let you choose a card. Use that with a 
Pokédex, and that could be a great combination in your favor. Against a Mr. 
Mime, Mr. Mime won't stand a chance. Not to mention Meowth has 50 HP, pretty 
good for a basic, common Pokémon. 

Persian, another great card. Persian also has the resistance to Psychic plus 
has NO retreat cost. It's scratch (two colorless) can do 20 HP damage 
(PERFECT for beating up Mr. Mime) and Pounce (three colorless), which takes 
away 30 HP and reduces Persian's damage from the next attack by 10 HP.

So next time you want to find some great colorless Pokémon, look no farther 
then Meowth and Persain.
