First of all I would like to say that Scyther is my favorite Pokemon, but I tried to do this fairly...here goes... 1st- Health Scyther has 20 more health than Farfetch'd, meaning that Farfetc'ed needs 3 attacks to kill him, where Scyther needs 2, or 1 if he used Sword dance...which leads to my next topic... 2nd- Sword Dance Sure, Farfetch'd has a 50% chance of doing damage on the first turn, but Scyther on the second turn can use Sword Dance, then put one more energy on him and he can attack for 60, killing Farfetch'd and nearly everything except foils. He basically can attack on the second turn. 3rd- Intimidation Scyther is a rare holofoil, and scares people more than a bird with an onion sprig. He also looks tight. When people see a foil out, they tend to panic, and you can use this to your advantage...(AKA psychological warfare..hehe). 4th- Retreat Cost Scyther can retreat for free, whereas Farfetch'd needs one energy. Not much, but that prevents Gust of Wind from being used on him at an inopportune time. 5th- Super Effective Damage This may be the most important of all- Scyther can do double damage to things like Gyarados and Dugtrio, because he is plant. Farfetch'd is colorless, has a weakness and a resistance, but can't do double damage to anything! Nothing has resistance to plant so Scyther will always do damage (unless there is some attack or trainer which prohibits him from doing so)! I hope this has changed your minds about Farfectch'd and Scyther. Scyther is by far the better card. The one point Farfetch'd has is that he can go in any deck. Scyther can go in any deck too, but you won't be able to use sword dance. horton@ulink.net Andrew W. Horton
