Hey PoJo! I just picked up 20 1st Edition Jungle boosters, and played my deck at the local tournament at Heroes in Roselle, IL. My deck kicked so much ass, I ended up wining my first tournament ever, and 3 Basic Set Boosters. Anyway, the card that I fell in love with isn't obvious. It was the Classy Cat, Persian. Like Farfetch'd was the amazing pop up Pokemon that no one expected to be good, until someone actually tried him, Persian is one of the greatest cards, although he may not look like it. My deck ran 4 Meowth, 3 Persian, and I ended up seeing Persian whip ass on several occasions. Well, lets take a look at the card in American text, not off a spoiler. Persian Type: Colorless Level: 25 Pokemon No.: 53 HP: 70 Evolution: Stage 1 - from Meowth Weakness: Fighting Resistance: Psychic -30 Retreat Cost: 0 Attacks: [2] Scratch (20) [3] Pounce (30) If the Defending Pokemon attacks Persian during your opponent's next turn, any damage done by the attack is reduced by 10 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). (Benching either Pokemon ends this affect) Well, from the looks, not great. Well, a Stage 1 with 70 health and a 0 retreat cost kicks. Pounce is a great attack, and won me several games. I faced several Hitmonchan, Electabuzz, Farfetch'd, Chansey, Mewtwo, and my bro's Jungle cards like Snorlax, Pinsir, Mankey, Spearow and Fearow. He fared extremely well against them all, losing to only to the Hitmo, but leaving Hitmo with 10 health left, ready for my Hitmo to kill. Well, if you don't believe me, try Persian out. He is an extremely good Pokemon, and the only two bad sides are: Stage 1, and weakness to Fight. Otherwise, a great overall card to be put in any deck. -Sent by MW BobMW64@aol.com
