Okay so say your deck is water/electric, you have a blastoise on your bench, a jolteon in play, in your hand you have a devolution spray, a vaporeon, and five water energy(or however many vaporeon needs, we'll just say it's five for his water gun. your opponent just energy removed all of jolteon's energy, let's just say he attacks you for twenty. Your blastoise can't rain-dance the jolteon so what do you do?you devolution spray the jolteon, evolve it into vaporeon and rain-dance all five water energy onto vaporeon. You've just turned a useless jolteon into a powerful vaporeon(--powerful vaporeon--sounds pretty corny but I couldn't think of anything else to say) in the span of one turn.
