Defender and Magnemite work great together.  Did you also know that 
Defender, not also defends 20 dealt to himself, but also defends against 20 
more damage from the opponent!  Read the card, it says it defends against 
all attack(s)--yes, plural as in more that one attack.  That means it has a 
chance of living thru the opponents next turn, especially if you use 2 
defenders.
