Dear pojo,
First of all, I think your site is da bomb! Second of all, I
would like to talk about Ninetales.
           Now let's look at Ninetales:
80HPs       Stage 1 pokemon      1 retreat cost      weakness to water

Now let's look at it's attacks:
Lure: Choose 1 of your opponent's bench pokemon and switch it with his or
her active pokemon.
This is a total life-saver and a GOW, but using it as a GOW will have you
waiting for one more turn to attack.
Fire Blast:80 damage, Discard 1 fire energy card in order to use this
attack.
I find that more pokemon have around from 30 to 80 HPs than pokemon from
90HP to 120 HPs. So that means when you attack with Fire Blast instead of
Fire Spin or Thunderbolt (well, it's obvious you wouldn't use this attack
unless you have about 20HPs left or so), you would save a extra energy card
killing a Haymaker, or a Gengar, Alakazam, Golem or anything else under 90
HPs. Of course, you would object if the pokemon have either 90, 100 or 120
HPs, but remember there are more pokemon under 90 HPs than 90 to 120HPs.

Thanx for posting my comment, ole mighty pojo!
