I thought the Gastly line was underrated from the
beginning (yes I am aware that you check for sleep
every turn including the turn it was induced, yes I am
aware you don't have to attack every turn), but Gengar
is just HANDY!

I had just built a psychic/grass deck before buying
any fossil cards, and I found that Gengar is even more
versatile than I originally thought!

One thing cool I found is how well it compliments
Poison and Confuse...especially poison, because you
can also paralyze (Tangela, Ekans) which means you
will have a Pokemon sitting there doing nothing, and
you can blow some of its damage counter to his
able-bodied benched Pokemon, so he won't be able to
bring one up fully charged!

For those of you who don't know what Gengar is:

Gengar
Stage 2 -- from Haunter
Psychic
HP: 80 HP
Weakness: none
Resistance: F -30
Retreat: 1
Power: "Curse" Once during your turn (before your
attack), you may move 1 damage counter from 1 of your
opponent's Pokemon to another (even if it would Knock
Out the other Pokemon).  This power can't be used if
Gengar is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.
Attack: [PPP]  Dark Mind  (30) If your opponent has
any Benched Pokemon, choose 1 of them and this attack
does 10 damage to it.  (Don't apply Weakness and
Resistance for Benched Pokemon.)
