I think everyone is over looking a cool  Pokémon, Omanyte.  now, lets take a
looksy:

Name: Omanyte
HP: 40
Evolution: Mysterious Fossil
Type: Water
Pokémon Power: Clairvoyance; Your opponent plays with his or her hand face
up.  This
power stops working while Omanyte is Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed.
Attacks: (W) Water Gun (10+); Does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each W
Energy
attached to Omanyte but not used to pay for this attack's Energy cost.  You
can't add more than 20 damage in this way.
Weakness: Grass
Resistance: N/A
Retreat: (C)
Rarity: Common

OK, it's HP are really bad, but just leave him on your bench.  His Pokémon
Power is
really sweet, and can anger your opponent badly.  His attack is cool, and
not so bad
retreat cost.   A cool thing is that he's a Common!  Of course, he's really
cute. :)
