10: Wigglytuff
This stage 1 can do up to 60 damage with 3 energy and all he needs is a good
bench! 80 HP isn't too shabby either!
9: Blastoise
This guy's Pokemon Power is awesome and is so devastatingly fast at laying
those energy on those Articuno's and Gyrados's that even Haymakers are
threatened! But he's 9 because he's stage 2 and his attack isn't as good as
some of the other stage
2's although HP is high at 100.
8: Pokemon Trader
This card's ability to trade a Pokemon in your hand for one in your deck is
invaluble, especally to heavy evolution decks. The only downside is that you
have to give up a Pokemon in your hand. But this card isn't nearly as good as
7. Computer Search
This card can go in virtually any deck. The ability to search for any card is
remarkable and it opens up unlimited possibilites for you. Need that Super
Energy Removal? Got it. Need that Electabuzz? Got it. That lifesaving DCE?
This card is amazing, but there is a major downside. You need to discard 2
cards from your hand to use it, and also some of the haymaker Pokemon are
good, such as
6. Scyther
This grass basic is good news for haymakers, 'cause you can use its Slash
attack with any 3 energy. This Pokemon has also has no retreat cost and a
resistance to the ever-popular fighting type. There is an advantage to
putting this in a grass deck, its Swords Dance attack that allows Slash to do
60 damage next turn instead of 30, so it is best used while building up. All
in all, a haymaker staple, but another one is more popular....
5: Hitmonchan
This fighting basic is a great, fast attacker with 70 HP. With a first turn
Jab for 20 with 1 fighting and a 2 fighting 1 colorless Special Punch for 40,
its speed makes it very popular. Its downside is a 2 retreat cost. Another
Pokemon is faster...
4: Electabuzz
This electric basic is incredibly fast and durable with 70 HP. It has a 10
damage attack with 50-50 chance of paralysis for one electric and and a 1
electric 1 colorless attack with 30 damage and a 50-50 of doing 10 more
damage to the Defending Pokemon or 10 to 'Buzz. This Pokemon's only downside
is again, a 2 retreat cost. But there are better trainers out there like
3: Bill
A great trainer that allows you to draw 2 more cards. Need I say more?
2: Super Energy Removal
Another great trainer that has you discard 1 energy of one of your Pokemon to
discard up to 2 off one of the opponent's Pokemon. Wow.
And No. 1,
Mr. Mime!
This great psychic basic can only be Ko'd in one turn with Nidoking's Toxic
because Mime's Poke Power prevents all damage over 30 done to Mime. ISN'T
THAT GREAT! Bye-bye, all you Charizard and heavy hitter lovers!
Sorry this was so long.
