These are what I think are the top ten pokemon cards are and why they are where they are. 1- Charizard- Awesome! The highest hit points any card can have and the most damage any pokemon can do. The only to pokemon it can't kill in one hit is a Chansey and another Charizard. Although you have to discard two energies to use this attack, it is worth it for 100 damage! His pokemon is also great if you team up with a Venusaur. Overall, he is the best card you will see for a while. 2. Clefable- Awesome again. One energy METRONOME!! That means goodbye Zapdos, Ninetales, Dugtiro, Charizard, Gyarados, Alakazam and Raichu. He also has Minimize, which is like a built in defender. But he just can't match up with Charizard, so that is why Clefable is second. 3. Mr.Mime- Mir.Mime is up here for on reason- his pokemon power. He has crappy hit points, his move is decent, but that power is to cool. The power reads- Whenever and attack (including your own) does 30 or more damage to Mr. Mime, prevent that damage (after applying weakness and resistence. That means Mr. Mime can only be injured byt the following pokemon- Rattata, Raticate, Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Abra and some others. The one enemy to watch out for is Jynx, who could knock him out in one hit. 4. Venusaur- He is here because he has a great deal of hit points, a good move, doing 60 damage with 4 Grass energies, and his pokemon power is great. With a Charizard nearby, this team is unbeatable. 5. Alakazam- He is here because of his power also. He has okay hit points, but his move is crappy, so I would leave him on the bench and use his power from there. His power is Damage Swap, letting you move damage counters around as long as you don't knock out the pokemon that is getting the damage. teamed up with someone who can re-gain by themselves, this would be yet another great team. 6. Blastoise- He has a great deal of hit points and can do a max of 60 damage with 5 water energies. His pokemon power is also good, letting you add as many water energies to a water pokemon as you like. If he adds them to himself, he could take out a charizard in no time at all 7. Ninetales- Ninetales is on here because his is one of few pokemon that can do damage equal to there hit points. He has 80 hp and he can deal 80 damage with Fire Blast. Also, while powering up for fire blast (4 fire energies) you can use Lure- if your opponent has any benched pokemon, choose one of them and switch it with the active pokemon. that is why he is on here. 8. Pidgeot- Some may not think he belongs on here, but I definetly think he should be. He has 80 HP, which is very good, he has wing attack which does 20 damage, which ins't much, but that isn't the good move. His good move is Hurricane, which reads- As long as this attack does not knock out the defending pokemon, return the pokemon and all cards attached to them back to the players hand. This kicks against a Charizard or any second stage evolution. 9. Vileplume- Again, some don't think he bleongs here either, but after you read this, I hope you think differently. First, he has 80HP which is rather good for a stage 2 evolution. Second, he has the potential to knock out any pokemon in one hit. His pokemon power, Heal, is also very handy. It reads- Once during your turn, before you attack, you may flip a coin, if heads remove one damage counter from one of your pokemon. 10 Zapdos- The only reason he is on here is because he can do 100 damage, but you have to discard ALL energies attached to him, which is a heavy price to pay compared to Charizards discarding of 2 energies. He also has a move that does 60, but cn do 30 to himself. Although 90 HP is very good for a basic pokemon, he is still over rated by some people.
