The Underdogs, Cats and Lizards: Some cards to watch out for that you may not expect.

Basicaly, it looks like the next modified will be Expedition on. Although it hurts to loose Bill ;_; and Trader/Breeder, there is that half a set of sandstorm that looks like it’s gonna be reprints. Maybe there will be some good stuff there (c’mon Cleffa!). But the point is this; stuff like Kindgra, Typhlosion, Feraligator, Dark Gengar and a bunch of other playable cards will be gone. So, what will be good? Sizor of course will still be around, as will Beedrill and Jumpluff. But there are a few cards that I think will be good that maybe nobody or only a few people have considered. Like...

Arcanine (SKY): Yes, he is best played with stuff like Hyper Devolution Spray and those types of cards, but just the fact that you can have 2 rainbows on him, then play a potion or Oran berry and then discard 1 fire per round for 70 could make him great, ‘specialy since all the other good stuff is weak to him ;-)

Kingdra (AQU): Yeah yeah yeah. I know it ain’t as great as the other one, but it is still good. 120 hp and that attack just make him brutal, and if he is in trouble just Switch and move the energy to a fresh Kingdra. He is REALLY good comboed with the other one, but he is still great by himself.

Poliwrath (EXP): Why noone has already played this guy is a mystery to me. 100 hp and an attack that can unload the damage. Might work well with the new holo Swampert? Poliwrath can definatly do well.

Sceptile (RS): I speak of the Holo one. I don’t care what anyone says, 120 hp and Lizards Poison is just too good. Lizard Poison has to be one of the most brutal attacks of all time, period. And Solarbeam may be expensive, but not every pokemon can do a straight 70 damage with 120 hp. Awesome card.

Aggron (RS): Yes, this may be a stretch, but I just can’t ignore the possable 140 damage. Geeze, AVERAGING 70 a turn is great, period. And with a lack of ER in Modified, those 3-4 metals stay safe and keep him that way as well. Plain out, once he is there he STAYS there for a long time and dishes out a serious beating.

Blaziken (RS): The Flamethrower one. Well, maybe this isn’t really an underdog, because he has already seen use. Basically, just don’t underestimate him. He is like a more powerful version of Ninetails.

That’s basically what I can think of. Of course there are more guys, but these I think will gain the most popularity. Why don’t you guys try some of these cards out, I think that you won’t be disapointed.

Until next time guys.
