Hey guys, ebArt here from a Modified format tournament at TRU. Once again I'm stressed over a deck and could choose between a Feraligatr deck, a Scizor/Porygon deck (;\ to FWOT and Chaos), and a Char deck I made after seeing a deck fix by Satoshi. Well, I thought that Scizor/Porygon was too chancey for me to bring to a tournament, so I bring to TRU a Feraligatr and a Quilava in my box. I don't know what came over me, but here's my Quilava deck

I was worried about Steelix/Slowking decks, so I wanted to be able to get at Steelix and have a good way to spread damage around, thus using Char and then in theory Gust around other Pokemon and put Char counters on them and have damage being done across the board. Why Caterpie? Because it pwnz j00 f00z, if Erika's Bellsprout were made of play-doh, then I'd play that instead, but is it? Noooooo! =\

Caterpie came out early and beat the crap out of his Gligars while I brought out Quilava and beat him. I can't really remember this match very well, sorry =\

Ack, well, I got a Caterpie again with a Dark and killed a Totodile, and I had Chaos Gym out and failed a few trainers while I tried to get powered up, but geez, Croconaw eats up Quilava. It was close, and a few Char flips and some lucky Focus Band flips helped me pull this one out. Whew...

I was expecting a Feraligatr deck since that's his specialty, but I saw the Brock's Vulpix and went O_o. Apparently, he thought I would be playing the Umbreon deck I sent to Rain which got posted, thus he built a new deck since he thought his Feraligatr wouldn't stand a chance =\ . Well, I come with something totally different. Anyway, he evolved into Dark Blastoise, and I'm trying to get around it with whatever I can: Blaine's Charmander, Elekid, Brock's Mankey, whatever. I manage to get a Char counter onto it, but the guy has a zillion Gold Berry and is lucky with my dice! With two prizes to go, he evolves into Tyranitar (>=\!!!!!!!!!) and gets me on a Trample, darn, bit me again.

This is what my deck was built for. I got pretty pissed off during this battle, he RSAed me, and then just randomly draws a card, at which point I'm like >=\!!! and he puts it back, then later randomly cuts his deck (>=\!!!!!!!!!) and I'm going ballistic! Anyway, I Taunt his Onix and whenever he had a Metal on it, I'd Kindle it away. I kill it with a Quilava and then zip through the rest of his Pokemon.

Nooooooooo, I seem to always suck when I play Jeff. I opened with a Caterpie and him a Cleffa. I went first and wanted to try for an FTKO, so I double Garbage Run for nothing to get them out of my hand in hopes of pulling a Dark from my Elm (which I don't >=\) and then I got kinda screwed and just tried to play defensively. I almost decked him, and I couldn't get a Blaine's Charmander on my bench due to Narrow Gym, and with 2 cards in his deck, Feraligatr comes up and Double Gusts a Cyndaquil and gets me. It's all downhill from here.

Well, I'm disappointed, and now I'm really going like "Why the heck didn't I play Feraligatr?" I might lose some points from this battle, might gain a few, but not a lot. I really didn't play well and will probably never play an untested deck ever again for a tournament =\

Slops to David, our good friend GeneralRaikou, for not coming to the tournament, but at the same token props to him for doing something non-Pokemon related on a Friday night unlike the rest of us with no lives o_O
