Okay, this is my first ever KDR & it’s also my very first Draft. You don’t see many Draft reports here do you? ^_~
Just got back from the San Francisco QT. IPGeek21's Bro (Aaron/DVPlume11) won a trip! Woohoo!
IPGeek21 also was kind enough to arrange an event for us 15+. A booster draft (2 Heroes & 4 Challenge). I was nervous as this was my first booster draft and I had no experience whatsoever. What was even worse, Bomie was also playing in the Draft. -_-'
My Trading instinct kicked in most of the time and I nabbed most of the Holos even though I wasn't really gonna use them. ^_^
Now, to post my deck. Remember that this is a DRAFT deck. I would not in my right mind use this deck in Tourneys…

Strategy:
This deck is pretty much straight forward. Attach, attack, retreat. Then, when you have a lot of damage, Pokemon Center the damage away with Erika's Kindness and Brock. I was probably the only one playing with Healing Cards. I even used Narrow Gym as a Super Scoop Up. ^_^
Choices of Pokemon: I opted to stick with just one color. I don't want to get energy screwed because I didn't get the right types of Energies. So, I opted for Fire/Colorless. Tossed in a few other Types as long as they have colorless attacks.
Some cards like:

didn't really serve a purpose. They're just space fillers. -_-'

were my main Pokemon.
Blaine's Charmander has 50HP and it does 20 for one Fire Energy. Pretty fast.
Brocks' Vulpix serves the same purpose as Blaine's Charmander although it has 10HP less. NO coinflips required though.
Blaine's Growlithe (Stoke) is pretty solid. It's basically a 60HP Pokemon that does 20 and might paralyze with just 2 energy (because of Stoke).
The other Blaine's Growlithe (Blaze), was just used to hunt down Grass Pokemon.
Erika's Exeggcute was a pretty funny choice for me. It has an attack called Psychic and that was the only reason why I chose it. Why? To combo it with Blaine's Quiz #3. When I say that the Pokemon has an attack called Psychic, my opponent would probably think of a Psychic Pokemon. Plus, if I was desperate, I could even build it up and do a massive Eggsplosion. ^_^
Blaine's Rhyhorn. It has resistance to Lightning, colorless attack AND it's a Hunter as well. What's not to love about it? Wished I had pulled more...
Erika's Jigglypuff is THE Pokemon in draft. I was surprised that I even got it. It was the 3rd pick... o_O
Giovanni's Meowth. Why do I have 3 copies of it? Nobody wanted them. LOL. It's actually pretty decent. 50HP, with one Energy it can confuse, and has a Slash like attack (3C for 30). The only downside is it's 2 Retreat Cost...
Lt. Surge's Pikachu is pretty decent. 40HP, free retreat, and it can take care of those Doduos and Water Type (most Water types at least).
As for the Choice of Trainers, I opted for Draw Power and a bit of Healing cards.

Out of 12 people, we were divided into 2 groups of 6 peeps. The top 4 of each group will battle each other out to determine the true champion...
Round 1 vs. Robbie K.
Anyways, I lost my first match because Rob managed to get Blaine's Ninetales out on turn 3. It was downhill from there. It was a lucky pull for him...

Round 2 vs. Bomiester aka the_evil_bill_gates aka Occult Mastermind (Ack...)
I had to play Bomie on the 2nd round. After losing my first match, I wasn't really confident. However, I played my best and Bomie just wasn't drawing the right cards. I won. Thanks for the match, Andres!

Round 3 vs. someguy...
Third match was pretty good. I got to know my deck a lot better and was playing fairly well. I kinda forgot his name and it was pretty fuzzy. Anyways, he only got a Sabrina/Misty's Psyduck (60HP with ESP) the whole game. He didn't draw anymore basics so I benched him in a few turns.

Round 4 vs. Hackman from Pokemon Zeo
I've actually met Hackman before but I never really knew that he was Hackman... -_-'. Anyways, the match was pretty fuzzy as well and it was a dang close game. I won. ^_^

Round 5 vs. The Guy
As you can see, I'm not very good with names. We'll just refer him as The Guy... Anyways, he pulled a Rocket's Zapdos out of one of his packs. -_- He also played fairly well and I wasn't. It was a great game nonetheless.

A brief intermission...
Top 8 Championship. It was single elimination. Once you're defeated, you're gone.
Round 1 vs. Alvin (BulbAZaRRe from WizPOG & Ruins)
This was probably one of the best games that I ever played. He showed me the power of Koga's Zubat (or was it Brock's?) in draft... It was a VERY close game. Whenever one of us draws a prize, our opponent would draw a prize next turn as well. In the end of the match, we were both down to 1 prize each. He had a Giovanni's Nidoran (Male) while I had a Blaine's Doduo with 2 damage. I never noticed Giovanni's Nidoran (Male)'s Retaliate attack (does 30 damage only of G's Nidoran has at least 2 damage counters). I stupidly attacked with Doduo and got Heads, dealing 20 damage to Nidoran. Alvin could've attacked with Retaliate and I would've lost. Bomie noticed this too. I was just hoping that Alvin didn't notice this. He didn't! He evolved to Giovani's Nidorino in order to stall. I evolved the Doduo to Blaine's Dodrio and prayed that I got Heads for Mega Peck (50 damage Tails Fails attack). I got Heads! Booyah!

Round 2 vs. Robbie K again...
I wanted revenge because of his Blaine's Ninetales. I played as aggresively as I could and Brock's Rhyhorn was the main card in that game. He was having energy problems and my Rhyhorn was hunting away his weak basics. I was gaining the advantage soon and I even hunted away his Blaine's Ninetales. I won. Yay!

[Final] Round 3 vs. The Guy
Yup. I managed to go into the Finals! It was me against The Guy (Previous Round 5) who pulled the Rocket's Zapdos. It was a very close game (he had 2 Prizes to go and I just needed one more). My main attacker was again Blaine's Dodrio. It has taken 50 damage so I had to do something about that. I retreated it, sent out Brock's Vulpix (Flame for 20). Put down Narrow Gym and "Super Scooped Up"-ed my Dodrio. Then, I attacked with Vulpix for 20. Next turn, as predicted, he retreated his active and brought out some Pokemon. He dealt 20 and KO-ed my Vulpix. Then, my turn, Played the healthy Doduo and attached an energy to it. My new active (forgot what) was just to stall a turn. His turn, he retreated and brought out Lt. Surge's Voltorb (50 HP) and attacked for 30 and 10 to self. My turn, I evolved Doduo to Dodrio and attached the 2nd energy. I retreated my active and promoted Dodrio. If I flip Heads for Mega Peck, I'll win. If I flip Tails, I'll still survive next turn because Voltorb would "ONL
