Hey, ebArt here with another tournament report. Jeff decided to make this tournament STS format since most everyone who went said they liked it and would like to play it again. I wanted to save my rating, so I had to choose a cheese deck, aptly named Cheesewiz NJ Style:

Cheezewiz NJ Style
4 Cleffa (Neo Genesis)
4 Slowpoke (Team Rocket)
4 Slowking (Neo Genesis)
3 Onix (Neo Genesis)
3 Steelix (Neo Genesis)
2 Mewtwo L60 (Promo)
1 Brock's Mankey L10 (Gym Heroes)

12 Psychic Energy
4 Metal Energy (Neo Genesis)

4 Professor Elm
4 Gold Berry
4 Nightly Garbage Run
3 Warp Point
3 Energy Flow
2 Ecogym
2 Misty's Wrath
1 Narrow Gym

The deck needs to have a Slowking or two out real earlyto have a good chance against Feraligatr decks. Steelix comes out and will just dominate, or you can have Movie Mewtwo dish pain out and use him to get back Metals via Energy Absorbtion/Energy Flow. You can make the deck Brock's Mankey-proof if you have your Slowking's powered up to use it's attack, which can be done easy first turn with Slowpoke's Afternoon Nap attack.

14 people came to play, and I had a bad feeling my deck would crap out on me. We're slated for 5 rounds of swiss.

Round 1 vs. Roberto (G/R Koga's Beedrill)
I started out slow, but I did get my Slowkings out. His Beedrill was hurting my Steelix while I was having a bit of a drought. Lucky for me, I timed a Warp Point well to get rid of the poison and took out his Magmars and then worked on Beedrill before time was called, I got the time win.
Record: 1-0 Points: 2

Round 2 vs. Squirrel (W Feraligatr)
Ahhhhh! I had to face my little brother, who was playing what was in my opinion, the best deck in the format. He got some quick KOs early, and I tried to bang up his Pokemon but I just couldn't get his Feraligatr and he was getting lucky on my coin flips. He took it on time =(
Record: 1-1 Points: 2

Round 3 vs. Michael (F/L Steelix)
Slowking came out early, and Steelix just cleaned his clock like that, he didn't get any of his trainers off. Oh yeah, say hi to yer sister for me ;) j/k
Record: 2-1 Points: 5

Round 4 vs. Jason (W Murkrow Chaos)
Well, this was the first time I met him, and he was playing an interesting deck with Murkrow and Piloswine. But my Slowkings came out and he wasn't able to lock my Cleffa and a cleaned him out with Steelix.
Record: 3-1 Points: 8

Round 5 vs. Jeff (W Feraligatr)
NOOOOOO! I had to face Jeff who was playing Feraligatr and is probably the best player in Raleigh right now. I got my Slowkings out and got REALLY lucky on the flips. My Mewtwo went to work while I tried to power up Slowking and Steelix. He had dumped massive amounts of Water in his discard and nailed Steelix and I had to try and confuse him with Slowking, but flips were failing, and we were tied after 25, at least I kept up with him. ^_^
Record: 3-1-1 Points: 9

How I got 4th overall, I have no idea. I probably only gained a few points since it was an 8K event and Jeff tried doing 3-Judge, but was uncertain whether the 3 judges actually get to play or if one has to sit out. Anyway, time for Props and Slops
