Hey Pojo!  Just to tell you this has been a life-long dream of mine to make a Killer Deck Report for Pojo.com!  Well, ebUniversalJuan hosted "Fireworks Galore!" on July 3, 2001.  The rules for this tournament were as follows; 1) NO RARES! 2) Only Colorless and Fire Type Pokemon [Color of Most Fireworks] 3) Base-Neo 2 Pokemon 4) No Promos, Arcanines, Blaine and Fossil Magmars, Erika's Dratinis or Jigglypuffs 5) 5 Rounds of Swiss Competition.  Here is the deck i played, 4th Of July Fireworks For The Homeless.

Results of The Tournament

1st Round VS AC-Cdawg with Neo Magma/Quilava Deck
I don't remember this match well.  I know at the beginning we couldn't get Basics for 4 Turns, until we both got one on the 5th Try.  I sent out Cyndaquil and he did the same.  He kept using Rocket Sneak Attacks and all my trainers went down the drain.  He then discarded my Gold Berry from my hand which I was about to use on Cyndaquil the next round.  He got the Energy and the Flips to knock out my Cyndaquil and that was that, no more basics.  He won due to No Basics.
0-1 (0 Points)

2nd Round VS Feralig8tr with Quilava/Lickitung Deck
I started off with a packed hand and a bench that held 1 Cyndaquil and 1 Magma with another Cyndaquil as my active.  In my hand I had 1 Plus Power, 3 Fire Energys and 2 Quilavas(he didn't have any basics to start so I got 2 extra cards).  He had a Cyndaquil out with Lickitung and another Cyndaquil on his bench.  I quickly powered up and evolved my Active Cyndaquil to a Quilava and started attacking.  I went through his two Cyndaquils easily because of his lack of energy.  I was up in prizes 6-4 and he had Lickitung out with a Gold Berry on it.  I attacked until I got the 40 damage on him with him attacking and failing for the flip for confusion.  I got him to 40 and he discarded the Gold Berry, but he sent out another one.  In the mean time I was powering up Magma.  I got him to 60 but he used the Gold Berry to go to 20.  That was his last Gold Berry.  He had 30 Damage on Lickitung and then I retreated Quilava and sent out my fully powered Base Magma and knocked him out.  He had no basics and I won the match.
1-1 (1 Point)

3rd Round VS terrible72 with Blaine's Rapidash Deck
We argued for about 5 minutes on who should call to connect.  I couldn't because whenever I do Apprentice gets messed up.  He refused to so I finally gave in.  I went through the whole game not being able to view the description on my cards (big problem because I only played with that deck for 2 Games).  He said he'd tell me what the cards said if I needed help.  By the time we started there were only 11 Minutes or so left to play.  He quickly got Blaine's Rapidash powered up and went through my Dratini and Cyndaquil (both waiting to be eveolved).  I was down 4-6 in Prizes and then Time was called and I lost because I was down in prizes.
1-2 (1 Point)

4th Round VS Pony12 with Quilava/Tauros deck
This game was very fun.  Pony12 was polite and fun to battle the whole time.  I had a Lt. Surge's Spearow active and he had a Cyndaquil active.  On my Bench was a Cyndaquil and a Magma.  I went first and attached a DCE.  I could have won the 1st turn but flipped Tails!  He couldn't do anything next turn and I had the same chance to beat him.  Again TAILS!  I knocked out a few of his and he knocked out 1 of mine to get the lead 6-5 in my favor.  He only had a Tauros left.  I still had the Spearow out with a Gold Berry and 0 Damage.  I had 2 Plus Powers in my hand and forgot to use them for the KO when I attacked Tauros.  It was heads after Razor Wind and I kicked myself for it.  A round later I stopped kicking and won.  Good Game Pony12 thanks for being a good sport:)!
2-2 (2 Points)

5th Round VS RaNd0mLaMeR with a Neo Magma/Quilava Deck (I think)
I had active a Lt. Surge's Spearow with 1 Dratini and 2 Farfetch'd on my bench.  I thought I was set.  I had 2 DCEs also.  Then he played a Sprout Tower.  I thought that those were illegal so I went to ask ebUniversalJuan.  He said they were fine and people were debating about them at the beginning, but he let them stay.  Sprout Tower takes away 30 from each attack from a Colorless Pokemon.  Farfetch'd's best attack did 30, Dratini/Dark Dragonair did 10/20+/ and the Spearow did 40 on a flip.  He powered up his Magma and didn't get any damage from me at all except 10 from a Spearow attack (after the -30 from Sprout Tower).  He knocked out all of my pokemon fast and through all that I never pulled a Fire Pokemon to get away from Sprout Tower!  They should have been ILLEGAL!
2-3 (2 Points)
