I finally got another opportunity to be in a Tournament. A lot of events
have happened at our Synagogue, therefore preventing my entry to tournaments
for the last 3 weeks. Anyway, I decided to build a kind-of
"counter-the-Archetypes" deck:

Igneous Rock
Pokémon:
3 Blaine's Ponyta (lv.13)
2 Blaine's Rapidash

2 Eevee (lv.7)
2 Flareon (lv.28)

1 Sudowoodo

3 Brock's Sandshrew (2 lv.20, 1 lv.13)
2 Brock's Sandslash (1 lv. 28, 1 lv.34)

3 Jigglypuff
2 Wigglytuff

2 Erika's Dratini
2 Erika's Dragonair

Trainers:
1 Prof. Oak
3 Bill
1 Computer Search
2 Pokémon Trader
3 PlusPower
2 Energy Removal
1 Super Energy Removal
1 Super Energy Retrieval
1 Gold Berry
1 Chaos Gym

Energy:
8 Fighting
8 Fire
4 Double Colorless

Battle 1
Cooltrainer (M) Mike wants to battle! (Haymaker)
This match was completely one-sided. It began with 1 Erika's Dratini/ 1 Eevee
and 1 Jigglypuff versus 1 Electabuzz. I lost the coin flip. To my extreme
misfortune, he got a Sprout Tower out first turn. Also, I was energy-poor.
Later in the battle, I was down 1 Prize to 6. My Brock's Sandshrew was no
match for his Magmar (and he had 2 Hitmonchan, and that Scyther on his
bench). A complete shut-out! :-(
Result: LOSE (Prizes) 0-1 0 points

Battle 2
Spoiled Brat Scott wants to battle! (Haymaker)
This was a near-repeat of Battle One, but the opponent killed me with the
Hitmonchan, he did not use Sprout Tower, and I somehow managed to take a
Prize.

Result: LOSE (Bench-out) 0-2 0 points

Battle 3
Judoboy David wants to battle! (Haymaker) {quite redundant... ...}
The lead: Erika's Dratini vs. Scyther. I managed to stall until the Scyther
was defeated. At that point, both Benches were full: me with Wigglytuff,
Ponyta, Dratini, and Sandshrew (the named ones, of course) and his bench had
Mewtwo, Ditto, Scyther, and Hitmonchan. Wigglytuff was tough and defeated 3
of the opponent's Pokémon. Ditto was oversmarted by Brock's Sandshrew, and
Brock's Sandslash finished his Mewtwo.
Result: WIN (Prizes) 1-2  3 points
Battle 4
Birdboy John wants to battle! (some kind of Legendary Birds deck)..
The opening: Jigglypuff vs. NEO Electabuzz. I won the coin toss. I
Double-Colorlessed Jigglypuff and Pounded, which was deleted by Potion. He
built a Sudowoodo on his bench, and promoted it; proceeding a knockout of
Jigglypuff. I had only Brock's Sandslash left. He got off a Rock Throw on
Slash, and then I Needle Balled, no poison. It had 10 HP left, so guess what
happened...
LOSE (bench-out) 1-3 3 points

Well, a disappointing end to the tournament; I ended up in 16th place. Oh
well, maybe next time...

PROPS and SLOPS

Props to my mom for getting me there
Props to my deck for doing so poorly (no, that is NOT a typo).
Props to John, he gave me some NEO commons and uncommons for free.
Slops to the luck that I had.
Slops to Trainer cards that make certain cards totally broken (it's the
Trainer-Pokémon combo that makes combat unfair)
