Hello again. This is Matt Brooks bringing you yet another Deck Report. This is the new deck that I made. It is entitled "Fairy Power". The main power house of the deck is Clefable. Clefable is simply amazing  since he can use any of the defending Pokemon's move. Here is what the deck looked like:

Pokemon (16)

4x Neo Clefairy (Clefable!)
3x Clefable (Simply AWESOME.....Can you say good bye TR Zapdos? I CAN!)
3x Ditto (All around good Poke)
3x Electabuzz (BBP)
3x Scyther (Free Retreat)

Trainers (25)

4x Oak (Need some card drawing)
3x Gust of Wind (Gust-of-WIN!)
3x Comp. Search (Get what you want when you want)
3x Item Finder (6 of any trainer in your deck)
3x Scoop Up (Get that Poke out of trouble)
3x Nightly Garbage Run (Get back energy and Pokes lost from Oak)
3x Narrow Gym (Get rid of No Removal Gym)
3x Super Energy Removal (Good against wiggly's)

Energy (19)

15x Electric (Buzz.......)
4x DCE (Ditto, Scyther.......)

Pre-Tourney

The way the tourney works is that it is double elimination, so two losses and your out. Once you lost you go in the losers bracket and don't have a shot at 1st but possibly 2nd or 3rd. All pairing are random and are based on your win/loss record. Before the tourney I headed down to the pizza shop and picked up a chicken finger platter. Ate it and then the pairings started for the first round of action. Here I go............

Matches

Round 1 vs. Bobby w/ Leaf Deck

This guy was a new coming to the tourney's. He had a grass deck with Beedrills, Scythers, Koffings, and Fossil Muk. This game was extremely close. I will fast forward to the end of the match. I had 1 prize and he had 1 prize with 3 or so cards left in my deck. He had a lot of free retreat Pokes running around trying to stall. In my hand I Item Finder'ed for a Gust of Wind and gusted out Scyther with 3 counters. I had Electabuzz out and went for Thunderpunch for the win.........to no avail it was tails and I had one card left in my deck. He promoted Beedrill with no counters on it and hopefully stall me to the win. My last card was......yep you guessed it........another Item Finder! So I got the Gust again on the Scyther and I won. Good game Bobby.

Record: 1-0

Round 2 vs. Laura Meadows w/ Misty Tentacruel Deck

This was an odd deck. Laura was a very good player who liked to play original decks. For the most part of the game, all I did was use Ditto, Clefable and SER to keep her Pokes at bay. This was not a quick match by any means. The prize count was 5-4 in favor of me when the timer went off. I pulled this one off by the skin of my teeth. Pheeeeew!

Record: 2-0

Round 3 vs. Cartman w/ Sneasel

Cartman and me are some of the best players at the Castle. I really didn't stand a chance in the Get-Go. He got a first turn kill using Erika's Puff with Plus Power. After that he sped through his deck and killed all of my guys without me collecting one prize. At the end I counted his deck and he had 61 cards but the judge said that you could have as many cards as you want but not under 60. Hmmmmmmmm? Its going to be a fun week next week!!!!!

Record: 2-1

Round 4 vs. Justin Lemly w/ Haymaker

This match started off bad. He got out Wiggly early and it looked like I was going to be out. I got out my Clefable and managed to somehow even up the prize count. I gained the advantage by killing two of his TR Zapdos with Clefable. I finally got all my prizes. Thanks Clefable.

Record: 3-1

Round 5 vs. Relento w/ Fire

Very quick match. I only had a Clefable and a Electabuzz. He used Chansey to double edge to kill one. Brought out Buzz and killed Chansey. He used Blaine's Ninetails to kill my Buzz.

Record 3-2

Post Tourney

Cartman went on to win the tourney and he gave me a pack of 1st edition Challenge for loaning him a couple Sneasels for the night. I got a Resistance Lowering Gym. Oh well I have a plan for next week. You will have to wait until next week to find out. Until then this is Matt Brooks saying good bye. GO RAVENS!
