Hi everyone at Pojo! I had just
been to this tourney a few days ago. As some of you might know, we poké/pojo
fans here in the UK dont usually get tourneys so this place was pretty packed.
I arrived at the store at around 10:00am which was the time that we were
supposed to register to find out that the tourney wouldn't be starting until
11:00am! Here's the deck:

There were about a dozen people
there already in the store so i decided to battle a few times or trade some
cards.I traded like 7 people. I traded a dark raichu for a 1st edition base
blastoise, a non-holo wiglytuff and a dark charizard for a 1st edition
blaine's charizard, and traded a base hitmonchan for a holo rocket's scyther
before the game. I battled a few kids before the tourney, i beat all of them.
The first kid i met asked me for a match, mumbling that he was going to thrash
me. It was my electabuzz vs. his base magikarp. i won the flip and added
lightening energy and thundershocked (20).He added water energy and passed.I
shocked for the win.He ran away to his mom.That was probably the like the
hardest battle i played before the tourney! By the time i had finished trading
cards and kicking asses, it was time for the tourney to begin.
The entrance fee was Ł3 (probably $6). There was a queue of about 10 metres.
Everyone was nervous, like they were playing in the finals in a STS. I was
probably the calmest there.Lets get to the matches:
Round 1-Me vs. Paul
Paul goes to my high school so I
was happy knowing that there would at least be a small challenge in this
tourney. It was Hitmonchan active, MP Mewtwo and Electabuzz on bench. He had
Jigglypuff active and a Lickitung on bench. I win the flip,RSA his Oak, add
fighting energy to Chan and Jab (40). He adds a DCE to his Jiggly and pounds.
I draw, add a fighting energy to Chan and Jab again for the KO. He puts out
his only poké on the bench, Lickitung.
He Toungue Wraps Chan, not
paralyzing. I draw, add a psychic energy and a PlusPower to Chan and Special
Punching Likitung for the win.

Round 2-Me vs. Girl w/ Wiggly
deck
At the beggining of the game, i
thought she was playing a Wiggly deck, so I thought this was going to be
another ass-kicking. I proved right.The beginning of this game was almost
identical to the last. My active was Chan and had a Buzz and a ditto on the
bench. She had to mulligan twice to get a decent hand. She played a Jigglypuff
active and no pokés on the bench. She wins the flip, adds a DCE and pounds.I
draw a bill, bill a RSA and a PlusPower, add a fighting energy to Chan and Jab
for 40. She draws, plays a Sleep! trainer and puts me to sleep.She then pounds
again for 20.I flip,TAILS. I draw, RSA her Lass, add a fighting energy. She
draws, Computer Searches Wigglytuff, evolves, adds a full heal energy and
DTW's.I wake up, draw, play a Lass which destroys her hand, add a
Lightning Energy to Chan and Special punching for the win.

Round 3-Me vs. Newbie w/ ????
This guy was a complete dork! I
had a Ditto active and a MP Mewtwo on bench. He had a base Spearow active, a
Blastoise, Fearow and Ditto on bench. I told him that you could only have
basic poké's on your bench. He argued back, saying that you could put trainer
cards on your bench too. He called the judge and asked the judge. You should
have seen the judges face! It was like he was gonna explode w/ laughter! The
Newbie then just ran out of the store crying.That was kinda like a bye.

Round 4-Me vs. Guy w/ sponge

This guy looked pretty good, the
way he played his cards. It was my Electabuzz vs. his base Mewtwo, we both
didn't have any other poké's on bench. I won the flip, RSA'd his Computer
Search, add a Fighting Energy, and Jab for 20. He draws, adds a Psychic Energy
and passes. I draw a Computer Search, Comp Search a Fighting energy, add it to
Chan and Jab again. He draws, adds a Psychic Energy and Psychics for 10. I
draw and Jab again for the win.

Round 5-Me vs. ???
This girl had to go because her
dad had come and she had to go. It was another bye.
