This was a single elimination tournament. I really wasnt interested in this
tournament but my little sister wanted to go. So I decided to take her and to my
surprise there was over 25 people there. What made me want to play is that my
little sister who is 9 was the youngest player there and I knew she wouldnt
stand a chance with 20 and 30 year old guys and women playing so I decided to
enter. She loaned me her shoe box of cards so I can make a quick deck. "Me
Too" deck was not an option since she hates dittos and MP Mewtwos so I had
to improvise. I decided to make another one of my favorite decks. A Dark
Vileplume deck came to my head so I made a Me too Vileplume deck. Cool name Huh?
Well here it is:

The strategy is to try and get at least one oddish and dratini on my bench with
an active chansey or scyther out first. Stall as much as possible until I can
get dark dragonair out and then use his Power to get dark gloom and dark
vileplume out. Once they are out use a benched glooms power to try and confuse
while an active snorlax tries to paralyze and deal 30. Ive used a variation of
this deck before but with masterball I can now get out dratini and oddish out
quicker.
Round 1 vs. Wigglytuff
This lady was really nice. She even offered to share her damage counters with
me. So we were off and I started with an active oddish and a benched dratini.
Not a good start considering she had scyther up and 2 benched jigglypuffs. She
went first and oaked twice. So her bench is full and jiggly has one energy. Im
in big trouble. I use my 2 masterballs and get a chansey and D. dragonair. I use
my PP to get out gloom and luckily confuse her scyther. Then I use my cpu and
get a snorlax and begin to power it up.. With scyther confused she flips and
fails to retreat so now I have a chance! I retreat the chansey I had brought up
the previous turn and with the help of 2 DCE snorlax is fully pumped. I use
d.dragonairs PP and get out d.vileplume and from there on I destroy her pokemon
one by one for the win.

Round 2 vs. TR Zapdos
Wow TR zapdos is a great card. I dont like using it though. Electric pokemon
just dont catch my attention to well. So I start off with a great hand of a
benched dratini and active snorlax. I use my bosses way to get me my dragonair
and then oak so I can get my 2 oddishes on the bench. I power up snorlax. He
gets 40 damage on my snorlax with his Zapdos so I decided to confuse him with my
benched gloom. Things dont look good as his bench is empty. I then let snorlax
finish him off.
Winner 2-0
Round 3 vs. Electric deck
Another TR Zapdos and electabuzz deck. So I start off really bad. All I have is
oddish out and 2 benched dratini. My hand is pure energy. So he brings out
electabuzz and paralyzes me. Next turn he tries thunderpunch and hits me for 30.
With 10hp left I bring in dratini who is quickly knocked out. Then my other
dratini is KO. I bring back the damaged oddish and draw a masterball. I use it
to get a chansey. After oddish is taken out I bring in chansey. In the
mean time this guy is giving me tips on how to play the game. That gets me
freakin mad. I stall enough to build up my bench with my cast of dragonair and
oddishes. I bring out snorlax and evolve my oddishes to their respective set ups
of gloom and vileplume. Now snorlax begins to chop away at his buzzez and TR
Zapdos. Time is called and we are tied so we play a sudden death match. To bad
for me my deck is slow. Well scyther for me and buzz for him. I get gloom out
pretty quick to confuse him. At this point I have 50 damag!

e on my confused scyther. He has
no damage on his confused buzz. My turn and I attempt to sword dance. It
works. He then tries to finish me of and flips only to fail and do 20 damage to
himself. Heres my chance and I flip to try and slash for 60 and the win. If I
fail he wins. I get heads and win. Wow that lugia coin is really lucky for me.

Round 4 vs. Little sister [Editor's Note: *snuffle* I vote
for Sandman the Best Big Brother of the Year award....]
Well I really wasnt interested in winning so I let my sister beat me. I was
happy that she had made it this far. She only needed to beat me to make it to
the final 8. So we played and I didnt tell her that I was going to let her win.
She beat me in about 4 minutes and was surprised and happy that she beat me. I
was glad to see her move on.
Loss 3-1
Well to make a long story short she made it to the final 4 but loss to a 30 year
old guy. I was mad but there was no age limit so he had every right to play.
That guy went on to win it all. My sister got 5 boosters so she was happy. I got
a "cold". Literally, that lady I played first got me sick. Oh well.
Props to Pojos Bulletin board, which I hit about 17 times a day, All the pojo
staff who keeps pojo rollin, and to my sister for being such a good sport after
losing.
Slops to no one because its almost Christmas time and I cant wait to get my
Playstation 2 that my brother is hiding in his closet from me.
