Hello  Pojo,
This Aaron Castaneda here and I went to a tourney at Microplay in Houston,
TX, on April 22, 2000. At this tourney there was only 4 people that showed
up. We usually play 5 ruonds and whoever has the most points wins. But since
there were only 4 people that showed (including me), we played as many rounds
as we could in 2 hours and 30 minutes, with no time limit.

Pokemon - 19
3 x Abra
3 x Kadabra
1 x Alakazam
2 x Mr. Mime
1 x Mewtwo (promo)
2 x Chansey
3 x Dratini
3 x Dragonair
1 x Dragonite
Trainers - 13
2 x Pokemon Center
2 x SER
4 x ER
1 x Pokeball
2 x Switch
2 x GOW
Energy - 28
25 x Psychic
3 x DCE

Objective: My objective of this deck is to stall with Mime and Chansey and
use Pokemon Center to heal them when they are about to die. I keep stalling
until I get Kadabra, Dragonair, And Mewtwo. Another thing is energy denial. I
stall once again until I get Dragonair out. Then use Hyper Beam and make them
loose energy. This is why I also have SER and ER just incase they are
building a strong Pokemon on the bench. Any ways to the tourney.
The Games:

Round 1 vs Stephen (Fighting/Psychic)
This was an easy battle. I start with Mime, and tear up 4 of his pokemon. (
I really love Mime) Finally, he kills Mime and I bring out a fully pumped up
Kadabra and kill his last two Pokemon. WIN!
Record 1-0

Round 2 vs Kamar (Colorless)
NOOOOOOOOOOO! I hate these kind of decks. Especially one with Snorlax and
Kangaskhan, which he had. Anyway, back to the battle. I start with Mime and
him Snorlax. This game lasted at least 30 minutes. It was a Mime Snorlax
stand off. Eventually, he killed Mime and I brought out Chansey. He retreated
Snorlax and brought out Kangaskhan. He kept Comet Punching, but I had 2
Pokemon Centers. He eventually decked. WIN!
Record 2-0

Round 3 vs Joe (Water/colorless)
Another deck with colorless pokemon and with Snorlax and Kangaskhan. This
game was the hardest and the longest. To make it short I stalled with Mime
the whole time and he used too many Bills and Professor Oaks and he
eventually decked. WIN!
Record 3-0

Round 4 vs Kamar again (colorless)
I didn't want to take another chance since I barely made it the last time I
played him, so I used my Fire/Colorless. I started out with Fossil Magmar and
he started out with Snorlax. (I really do hate Snorlax) I killed 2 of his
Pokemon
and then he did the unthinkable. He FORFEITED!?!?! WIN!
Record 4-0

Round 5 vs Stephen again (Electric/Water)
This was a short game. I start out with a lone Abra. He starts out with
Electabuzz. I put energy behind Abra and Psyshock with no Paralysis.
He attaches energy behind Electabuzz and Thundershocks with paralysis. I draw
Abra Evolve into Kadabra and attach energy. He kills my Abra I bring out
Kadabra and attached an energy. He attaches energy and Thunderpunches for 40.
I attach energy and Super Psy. Next turn he Thunderpunches and kills me. I
have no more basics. LOSE!
Record 4-1

Round 6 vs Joe again (Water/Colorless)
This was another long Game but to make it short I stall with Mime and
Chansey and he once again use too many Bills And Professor Oaks and he decks.
WIN!
Final Record 5-1

I am very happy with myself since this was my first time winning 1st. I had
gone to these tourneys before but played a regular stall deck with Chanseys
and Alakazam. I wanted to have something different, so I tuned my decks so
that I would still stall but also drain energy. Since, there were only 4
people, including me, the prize was one Japanese Gym Leader 2 pack. I got a
Rocket Zapdos and a Misty's Poliwrath. Not bad. I also bought about 6 base 2
boosters and since I didn't get any holos the manager gave me a FREE
ALAKAZAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Props:
To Jim (manager) for being cool and giving me that FREE ALAKAZAM!!!!!
To Microplay for having the Tourney.
To me for winning.
To my deck for helping me win.
To Steven for not coming.(Because he always wins 1st with his raindance)
To Pojo for being the best Pokemon web site ever.
Slops:
To Joe for having such a good deck.
To Kamar for having a colorless deck.
To Joe  for bragging that he would beat me.
To the Prizes that they gave away.

This is Aarron saying farewell
