Hi Scott. My name is Turtle Boy and I participated
in a Pokemon League event on April 29 at Books a Million in Hammond LA. There
were about 50 people there with about half of them fighting (the others
"just came to trade"). Anyways, this is my deck "Hydro
Heroes".

I Know you're probably wondering why I have 5
Blastoise(3 base & 2 dark) and only 4 Squirtle. Heres why: First, it's
illegal to have more than four of a pokemon with the same name. Second,
the odds of getting the one I need is increased. Third reason is because of
Nightly Garbage Run ex. Say one of my Blastoise is K.O.'d, l could use
N.G.R. and shuffle the valuable Squirtle in the deck (along with Blastoise
and/or energy).After that use Com. Search and start dancing again by the next
turn. Anyways, the strategy is to use Dark Blastoise and Articuno for the
heavy hitters with clown killer (a.k.a. Lapras) and Blastoise for bench
support and dancing.
Anyways, here is my report.
Match 1 vs. John with Mono-Grass deck
I remember this match well b/c he was supposed to
be good & tear my weak deck apart. Anyways this is what happened
I go first. My hand consists of Dark Blastoise, TR
Squirtle & 4 energies. We flip our cards over and it's his Scyther with a
bench of 1 Scyther & TR Porygon against my lone Squirtle. l draw an energy
& attach it to Squirtle then pass. He attaches a grass e on Scyther &
swords dance. I draw a G.O.W. and unweary of TR Porygon's free retreat cost I
force it out and energize Squirtle and shell attackfor 20. Surprisingly enough
he put a D.C. on the Porygon and used conversion to make me weak to grass. I
use breeder &evolve to Dark Blastoise, put on an energy and hydrocannon
for 50. My prize is S.E.R.. He sends out the Scyther with energy & puts on
a D.C. to slash for 60 due to conversion. I draw Lapras & energize D.B. to
hydrocannon for 70. l forgot what my prize was, but l'm sure it was good. He
then sends out his last Scyther for it's last swords dance. l put an energy on
Lapras then use D.B.'s hydrocannon for the win.
Match 2 vs. Chris with Psychic deck
Chris is pretty good and we have had some heated
battles. I don't remember what happened, except I beat his Promo Mewtwo with
my D.B. active with Big B on the bench. I did beat his lone Mewtwo with D.B
after a series of energy removaling.
Match 3 vs. ? with a Riandance wanabe
Before the matsh he boasted that he was never beat
with this deck that contained his first edition Blastoise. All I remember is
that he kept using Psyduck's headache to slow me down, but he eventually
evolved to Goldeck & was soon defeated.
Match 4 vs. ? with maybe Colorless/Wigglytuff deck
?
He starts with Jiggs against my 2 Squirtles &
l go first. He passes . l draw Blastoise and study my hand. I had 4
energy, Breeder & Big B. i put an energy on Squirtle & bubble
resulting in a parlyzed Jigglypuff. he passes . l draw a S.E.R. then Breeder
to Squirtle & raindance resulting in a 50 damage hydro pump for the win.
Well that's l farred in battle. With a 4-0 record
I was declared superior & ended up taking home a yo-yo(I'm still
wondering) & 5 First Edition TR boosters.
