Saturday May 20, 2000.  Toys R' Us Pokemon League, Chesterfield, MO.  25 People.

Hello my fellow PoJo-holics...
In the beginning, Iron Fist created a Wigglytuff Deck, and he saw that it was good...

"The Wigglin' Wonders of the World"

4 Jigglypuff
4 Wigglytuff
3 Scyther
3 Magmar (Fossil)
3 Mewtwo (Movie Promo)

17 Pokemon

3 Bills
3 Professor Oak
3 Computer Search
3 SER
3 Rocket Sneak Attack
2 Item Finder
2 Challenge!
3 Plus Power
2 Gust of Wind

24 Trainers

6 Fire Energy
9 Psychic Energy
4 Double Colorless
After much testing, the Iron Fist added new Team Rocket cards and switched out Electabuzz for Magmar, because Scyther was very prevelent in the area...
...and he saw that it was very, very good.

Well, The Iron Fist has returned!  I have been twisting this deck around, switching out Electabuzz for Magmar because of all those Scythers!  I went to the Poke' League, and as always, cleaned house.  The strategy is to GET WIGGLY FAST...duh.  All righty then, PoJo-People...here it goes!

Game 1: Bo wants to Fight!

Bo is a cool guy (one of my main rivals) and today he was testing his new Dark Charizard deck.  I decided to hang him out to dry, as usual.  He starts with Magmar vs my Magmar.  I go, drop an Energy and Smokescreen.  He lays an energy on the Magmar, tries to Smoke me but fails.  I draw...Jiggly!  I drop the Jiggly on my bench, lay an energy on him and Smokescreen.  He goes, drops a Charmander (Rocket) and lays an energy on him.  He Smokes me sucessfully.  I go, lay a DCE on Jiggly, evolve to Wiggly, Rocket Sneak away a Super Energy Removal, and Oak.I load my bench, retreat and whomp his Magmar dead.  He goes, sends out that Charmander.  He draws...CHANSEY!  He Switches the Charmander and sends out Chansey, evolves the Charmander to Charmeleon, and lays a Rainbow Energy on him.  I go, draw a Challenge! and use it, but since my bench is filled, I just draw 2.  I wave for 60.  He lays Dark Charizard and laughs.  He Scoops Up Chansey, drops another Rainbow energy, and Flips 3 Tails!  I go, and I can't help but laugh evilly.  I Super Energy removal the 2 Rainbow Energy.  Then, I wave and kill the Charizard.  He growls as I end his winning streak.  He lost since he never put Chansey back down on the bench.

WIN 1-0

Game 2:  Jeff wants to Fight!

Jeff is my best friend Andy's little bro.  He's 7 and he's pretty good.  He is using a deck he built (A very good deck BTW...I helped build it) that uses Jeff's favorite Pokemon, Raichu.  He has Scyther to counter Fighting weakness.  He also uses Dark Raichu for bench damage.  Well, he goes first with Electabuzz to my Mewtwo.  He shocks with no paralyzation.  I gust out the League Promo Pikachu on his bench, CPU Search for Jigglypuff (Dropping 2 Psychic Energy) and Absorb it back.  He goes, lays an energy on Electabuzz and says go.  I drop an Energy on Puff (I have Tuff and an Oak in my hand *Heh Heh Heh*) and then I use Psyburn with 2 Plus Powers for a kill.  He uses Thunderpunch after Super Removaling my Mewtwo.  He flips tails...30 damage to Mewtwo and 10 to him.  I Rocket Sneak away a normal Energy Removal, drop Wigglytuff and Oak...I get a DCE and some some basics.  I Bill a few times and my bench is ready to go.  I drop the DCE on Wiggly and Absorb.  He goes, and Thunder Punch with Tails again!  I decide not to sacrifice Mewtwo and retreat him for Wiggly.  Wave and Buzz is toast.  He sends out a Scyther and Slashes me.  I Item Find a Plus Power and Wave KO.  Now he sends out another Scyther.  He begins building Raichu on his bench.  I attach an energy to Magmar on my bench and I wave him.  He retreats Scyther and uses Thunder, kills Wiggly.  He doesn't damage himself.  I send out Magmar, Gust his Scyther and kill it.  Out comes Raichu.  He kills Magmar with Thunder and a Plus Power, and again doesn't hurt himself (Lucky Flips!) I send out my badly damage Mewtwo.  I lay an energy down, SER Raichu, Item Find and Removal again!  I then absorb it all back.  He lays an energy and says go.  I Psyburn.  He sighs...and ends turn.  I go and Psyburn for the win.  Not bad for a 7-year-old!

WIN 2-0

Game 3: Some Dork wants to Fight!

This guy was new, but he was a total dork.  I try to be nice to him and patient because he questions every trainer I play.  Anway, I had Mewtwo vs Jynx, Jynx, Abra and Snorlax.  He lays an energy on a benched Snorlax and goes.  I go, draw a Scyther.  I Bill for Jiggly and a DCE.  I CPU Search for Wiggly, and Absorb the energy back.  He lays a DCE on Snorlax.  I go, Evolve Jiggly, drop a DCE on Scyther (I might as well give him a CHANCE!) and SER his Snorlax (Maybe Not! *Heh Heh Heh*) Then I Psyburn his Jynx and kill it.  I kill all his Pokemon and then Snorlax comes out.  I retreat Mewtwo and Slash his Snorlax.  Now I have my Wiggly built and my bench loaded (He accepted a Challenge! and he didn't load his bench because he didn't know what it did)  He lays a DCE on Snorlax and passes.  I retreat for Wiggly and Wave for 60 and win the game.

WIN 3-0

I trade for a while (Finally get a Chansey!) and then buy some boosters.  I got Non-Holo Snorlax and Dugtrio in my Base 2 ones and Non-Holo Dark Arbok, Holo Dark Machamp, and Non-Holo Rocket Sneak Attack in my Rockets.  Then I find a Holo Venomoth sitting on the paper towel rack in the bathroom.  I report it to the Gym Leader, Mason, and since no one claimed it, he gave it to me.  Anyway, after a quick Dr. Pepper and a box of Nerds, I'm ready to rock!

Game 4: Redneck wants to Fight!

Heh Heh Heh!  This is the kid that sucks hard enough to pull a golfball through a garden hose, cheats, and is ALWAYS at the same place I am! (He is at The Gathering Ground and Toys R' Us every time I go there!) He also cannot tie his shoes and is wearing velcro shoes.  He's wearing knee-socks today...and I'm kind of freaked out.  He gets himself kicked out of the store 4/5 times after I play him because he cusses at small children cause' he's mad he lost.  Well, he says he could kick my butt with his new deck.  We start and I go first.  My Magmar vs his...CATERPIE!  I lay a Fire, drop a Plus Power, CPU Search for another one, and again, I win on turn 1! HAH HAH HAH HAH!  This time he says I stack my deck and leaves.  That's when I notice toilet paper stuck to his heel, and everyone in the room laughed at him.

WIN 4-0

Game 5:  The Really, Really Tall Guy wants to Fight!

I start with Jiggly vs. his Mr. Mime.  Nuff' Said.

WIN 5-0

Games 6 & 7: PokeKid wants to Fight!

This is another new guy at the league.  I saw he was playing a Haymaker variant with Tauros and Hitmonchan in it.  I decided to play him best 2 out of 3.
ROUND 1:  He starts with a Tauros and Scyther on the bench.  I start with Magmar and Mewtwo on the bench.  He goes and lays an energy on Tauros.  I play an energy on Magmar and Smokescreen.  He lays a Double Colorless and tries to rampage but it doesn't work cause of Smoke.  I draw a Jiggly.  I lay an Energy on him.  Then I Smokescreen again.  He goes and lays an energy on Scyther.  Then he tries to rampage again, but again, it FAILS!  I lay another energy on Magmar, attach a Plus Power, Smog and...Heads!  Poisoned and KO'd  He sends out Scyther, lays an energy and Swords dance.  I go, lay a DCE on Jiggly, evolve him, and then Challenge (I know it seems dumb but I was being nice)  He gladly accepts the challenge and I fill my bench with Scyther and Magmar.  Then I retreat Magmar and Do the Wave with a Plus Power to kill his Scyther.  Later on, he kills my Wiggly with Hitmonchan, and I go on to win it with a Slash from Scyther and a Pluspower.

WIN 6-0

ROUND 2:  He mulliganed a few times, and I sent out Mewtwo against Hitmonchan.  He had nothing but energy in his hand and 1 SER.  I Sneak Attack away his Super and Search for Scyther, then absorb the energy.  He goes and Jabs me.  I Psyburn KO.  His next draw would have been a Tauros.

WIN 7-0

Game 8: Andy wants to Fight!

Andy is my best friend who comes with me, along with my other friend Matt and Andy's brother Jeff to the League every once in a while.  Andy uses a great Raindance deck.  I start with a Scyther and a Jiggly on the bench.  He has Squirtle (Rocket) and his Active is an Articuno.  I have a Magmar in my hand, because I fear Gust of Wind.  I go first, attach an energy to Scyther and pass.  He lays an energy on Articuno.  I study his face and it seems that he has a killer hand.  He was leaning back in his chair and his hand was sitting facedown on the table.  I use Rocket Sneak Attack and see his hand was 2 Energy, Breeder, Blastoise and Oak.  I decided to shuffle Breeder back into the deck.  Then, I Item Find the Rocket Sneak and use it on the Oak!  I put a DCE on Scyther and a Plus Power and Slash.  His head droops as he draws his card.  It was a Lapras.  He puts an energy on Lapras and passes.  I slash and kill Articuno.  He goes and adds an energy to Lapras and Confuse Ray me and it didn't Confuse me.  I go and evolve Jigglypuff on my bench to Wigglytuff.  Then I Bill.  I got a DCE and a Gust of Wind.  I drop the DCE and Gust the Squirtle.  I slash him.  He goes, retreats Squirtle and does Confuse Ray again.  Again, it doesn't confuse me.  I draw Oak!  I use it and get a pumped bench.  I Item Find the Gust and Gust Squirtle.  I put an energy on the Wiggly and Slash to KO Squirtle.  He comes out with Lapras and Confuse Ray...this time it works.  I go, Slash...and it works.  He goes, and Water Guns me with a Plus Power and kills me.  I send out Wigglytuff, Do The Wave and Kill him for the win.  That Rocket Sneak Attack REALLY shut him down!

WIN 8-0

Game 9:  Matt wants to Fight!

This was the last game of the day.  I start with Mewtwo and he has Abra.  I Psyburn on turn 2 after he fails to paralyze me with Psyshock and win the game.  It's pretty sad I beat him that fast.  He claims this deck is a stall deck, but in all the games I've played him, I've never seen a Chansey.

WIN Final Record 9-0

Another Saturday as the undefeated, undisputed Toys R' Us Master.  I got my Cascade Badge, my Computer Error, Holo Mew, Promo Arcanine, and my 3rd Prerelease Gyarados.  I also finally got a Chansey a Kangaskhan, as well as a Venomoth.  I had many admirers offering things for my Dark Raichu, but I don't think I want to trade him.  I got some other stuff, but I don't remember it all.  I'm thinking of trying a Fire-type deck similar to Spike's Cinder, since Fire is a BLAST to play with!  (Get it? Fire Blast?)  Anyway, until next time...

Here's Props and Slops

Props:
To all my opponents except for the Redneck for being good losers.
To all the people who traded me stuff I needed
To Mason the Gym Leader for giving me lots of Promos.
To the PoJo for giving me good advice on my decks.
To Toys R' Us for having cheap boosters.  (Hey man, 2.99 for a 1st Edition Rocket Pack?  Heck Yeah!)
To Scott Gerhardt.  Why are you so cool, man?

Slops:
Not many Slops since the kids at Toys R' Us are fairly courteous.
To the Redneck.  You seem to make it to my Slops section more than anyone else.  Maybe you should douse your head in Whisky and set your hair on fire...that'd be entertaining.

Until Next Time Poke' People!  PEACE OUT
