I played in a tourney in Pittsburgh,PA at a Toys'R'Us last Sunday(6/25/00)

Around 20 participated and almost everyone had an archetype.  Well too bad for them. The turney was one-loss elimnation.  The prize was 5 1st edition rocket packs and one Trouble deck. There were 3 qualifying rounds then etc.... Well Here's my deck:

Pokemon 15:

3 Aerodactyl (bye bye raindance, tuff stuff, swap)

4 scyther (bye bye hays)

4 lickitung (nice against sponges)

4 ditto (just in case...)

Qualifying Round 1:

 

The Master vs. John with Raindance deck (just like Scott's freezing rain deck)

 

I basically got my aerodactyl turn two and I  dominated with my scythers.

The Master vs. Stephen with Haymaker deck

 

Stephen has never lost with his Hay (even against haybreakers) My aerodactyl could do nthingso I tried to get my scythers as soon as possible. I COULDN'T! He had 2 prizes left and I still had 4 when I finally got 2 scythers with a bill. I cleaned house but he knocked out one of my scythers.  Prize Count:1-1.  I could either send out Ditto, Lickitung, or scyther against Hitmonlee...Scyther dominated and then I retreated for ditto: jab-win.

The Master vs. 6 year old with Charizard deck

 

I felt sorry about battling this kid.  He kept looking back and foth through his rulebook. Eventually time was called and since the kid spent more than half of the match reading, I won 5 prizes-6.

Quarterfinals:

 

The Master vs. Shirley with No Chance Deck (venusaur-chansey)

 

I kept using ER and SER on her pokemon.  Ditto trans into venusaur: bye bye everybody.

Semifinals:

 

The MAster vs. some kid with a sponge

 

We traded prizes until I got a great idea. SER mewtwo.  Sword's dance. Opponent uses energy absorbtion. I use sword's dance-I win (mewtwo already had 30 damage on it)

The Master vs. Sarah with No-Energy Stall deck

 

I made her this deck so I knew hw to stop it.  I couldn't get my aerodactyl out quick enough but I did all 3 gusts, hehehe.

3 prizes for me!  I didn't use any of my oaks so I didn't deck myself. I began flipping through my binder to waste time. Time finally ran out and I won!

My Anti-Archetype deck has prevailed!! I got 2 non-holo dark charizards, 1 dark raichu, 1non-holo rainbow energy, and a non-holo alakazam. Now for props and slops.
