Deck: Mee Too v.15/3

Boy was this a crowded tournament. You would expect kids to be out trick or
treating or something but nooooo they all decided to show up to the event. To
make matters worst some guy told the judge that the new prop 15/3 should be
implemented in this tournament to which the guy so easily accepted the
notion. That made more then half the kids drop out do to the fact that most
of them only brought there decks and had no way to convert there decks. This
guy I think is in the top 25 in the DCI rankings so I was looking forward to
playing him. I quickly had to modify my infamous "ME TOO" Deck. The
tournament would begin at 2pm and end at 8pm with 2 breaks in between. It was
also a point system tournament. Win 3; Win by time 2, draw 1 and a loss -3.
You were eliminated if after 3 matches you had negative points. Here is my
deck.

ME TOO v. prop 15/3
3 Ditto
3 Hitmonchan
3 Clefairy
3 Clefable
3 MP mewtwo

3 oak
3 erika
2 chaos gym
2 CPU search
2 NGR
3 SER

3 DCE
3 potion energy
3 full heal energy
10 fighting
10 psychic

I know I have way too much energy but this deck doesn't need anymore pokemon.
The strategy is to get all my pokemon and hand set up quickly. Then drop down
the chaos gym so now I don't need to use any more trainers. Erika works well
because with chaos gym there is no negative with it. SER works well too
because my key hitter is clefable and all he uses is one energy so even if it
fails for me my opponent really won't stop clefable.

Match 1 vs. Ghost deck
This guy had a pretty good ghost deck. He kept Fossil Haunter up while he
powered up his Heroes Gengar. I was able to SER once to buy me some time and
get ditto pumped. 5 minutes left and I decided to try and oak but chaos gym
failed me and he decided to oak and KO my last ditto, which left me with
Hitmonchan. He then took chan out and was on his last prize when I brought up
clefable to take out 2 of his bench pokemon for the win.
Win 3pts.

Match 2 vs. Clefable deck?
This guy must read pojo because he used a deck like mine but with MP Mewtwo
and Scyther. He started out with 3 mewtwos on his bench and a active
clefairy. I began with a chan and that's it. My turn and I take out his
clefairy. He brings out the mewtwo team. I cpu and oak until I can get my
ditto's and clefairy's out fast. Then I power up my ditto and I shred through
his mewtwos with the greatest of ease. Then scyther comes out and my clefable
finishes him off.
Win 6pts.

Match 3 vs. Pink power deck
Pink Power? Oh she meant chansey, wiggly, ditto and clefable with some
scythers. This was a pretty good deck. I got my clefable out fast and began
to wave her wigglys bye bye. She then brings in clefable and all we can do is
minimize each other. Luckily I get chan out and begin to power him up. I try
to SER her benched scyther but it fails and she SER my chan. I have to wait 2
more turns but by this time her scyther has KO my clefable. So I bring out
Mewtwo and absorb. She then retreats and takes me out with ditto. NOW's my
chance and I bring up Chan. I punch for 40 and she bring scyther back in. She
tries to GOW my energy less chan but Chaos fails her and I GOW her ditto back
up for the win.
Win 9pts.

At this point we get a break and I head over to Burger King. Wow .39-cent
burgers rule. I head back and notice the crowd empting out. Only 82 players
left. From now on losses are -4 points. If at anytime you hit 0 or lower you
were eliminated.

Match 4 vs. Team Nido
She used a nidoking/nidoqueen deck. She mulligans her first 2 turns and that
made the difference. She gets up nidoran(m) and quickly evolves him to
nidoking. She poisons my clefairy but my next turn I evolve and SER her
nidoking. Then I proceed to take it out. After that she didn't stand a chance
and sent nido after nido in for the easy kills.
Win 12pts.

Match 5 vs. Sponge deck
This was a who ever wins the coin toss wins the match. I had an only ditto
and he had an only mewtwo. I win the coin toss and attach and energy then oak
and absorb. He flips his card then shows me an energy and the rest of his
hand, which consists of a haunter, 4 energy, 2 gow, and one switch.  Too bad
for him. I think this would have been a good match.
Win 15pts.

Now we take our second break and it's around 7pm with about 25 players left.
Most of the crowd that was watching has went home. Now it gets interesting.
Losses count as -5 points.

Match 6 vs. Wigglytuff
This match went back and forth until I was able to NGR my clefables back.
When out of nowhere he pulls out another wigglytuff after I had taken out his
other 3. I let him know that your only allowed 3 but he refuses to
acknowledge that he has 3 and keeps telling me that it's his third one. I ask
to see his discard pile and sure enough he refuses. I let the judge know and
he is disqualified. To bad this match eliminated him.  For some reason I only
received 2 pts. I ranted but the judge said I really didn't beat him and I
should be lucky. What a jerk.
Win 17pts.

Match 7 vs. Duck hunt
Wow I really liked this guy's deck. He had a mix of sabrina's, misty's and
regular psyducks/golducks. He really kept annoying me with that removal
attack. After a while the coin flips started going my way and my chans and
mewtwo did the rest.
Win 22pts.

Now there is 17 players left and some of the parents began to complain that
they need to go home. So instead of postponing it till tomorrow the 4 highest
scores received G&S and the others got one to choose from. I came in second
by one point. The guy that was from the top DCI went out after the 4th match.
To bad he didn't stick around I wanted to play him. He was supposively using
a trap deck.

Props: to ELA mall for giving me something to do on Halloween, for Nintendo
for making G&S more superior than BYR, for my MEE TOO deck which is catching
on, and for pojo's new bulletin board..it rocks!

Slops: For the Wiggly cheat, For the heater in the mall not working, for DCI
who wouldn't sponsor the event, for the DCI guy who didn't stick around, and
for prop 15/3 which gives less chance for evolution decks to work.

Thanks Pojo,
Sandman
