Hi, my name is Zach and I played in the 11-14 age group in the STS.  I am
sorry for submitting this so late, but I fealt I should since I did pretty
good.  Before I start the report here is my deck.  I call it Lightningtuff.

Pokemon-15
3 Wigglytuff
4 Jigglypuff
3 Electabuzz
3 Ditto
2 Scyther
Trainers-30
2 Lass
3 Rocket Sneak Attack
3 Super Energy Removal
3 Plus Power
3 Gust of Wind
4 Professor Oak
4 Bill
2 Switch
2 Computer Search
2 Energy Retrieval
2 Item Finder
Energy-15
2 Rainbow
4 Double Colorless
9 Lightning

I finally arrived from the San Deago resort I am staying at.  I got in line
at about 9:00 and almost did not get in.  This is why I used this deck.  I
fealt with all the Sponge decks I should use a deck which 90% of the time I
have played a sponge deck I have won with.  Sponge runs a very slim amount of
pokemon, so Dittos should not be that bad.  The Promo Mewtwos will not be
affective against tuff.  Well Electabuzz is good against almost any deck.
Sponge 1, Lightningtuff 2.  Sounds good to me.

Round 1 against Sponge
I went first with Jigglypuff vs. Mewtwo.  I pounded and said go.  He used
oak, layed a Scyther and said go.  I oaked filled my bench and oaked again.
I finally drew a tuff, pluspower and energy.  I beat him in about 5 minutes
he got nothing.  ( This was the person whom won the tournament.  I was the
only person to beat him :)

Record 1-0
Points 3

Round 2 against Psy/Fire
He had a stall deck, I think.  All I saw were Magmars and Mr. Mimes.  I got a
jigglypuff to kill the mimes, then Wigglytuff took the rest.

Record 2-0
Points 6

Round 3 against Blastoise
He got second turn Blastoise and took 3 early prizes.  I was able to kill
Blastoise with Buzz finally.  We were even at 1 prize a peace.  He had
articuno with no energy.  I drew my last card and it was a Lass.  I used it
and eventually killed Articuno with Ditto.  Very good game.

Record 3-0
Points 9

Round 4 against ???
I got second turn tuff against his buzz.  PlusPower kill.

Record 4-0
Points 12

Round 5 vs. Tuff deck like mine only Magmar insted of Buzz
I was able to kill all his puffs with gusts.  I then pluspowered and killed
his magmar.  I did all this with Tuff.  He was 5 minutes late and the jugdes
told me to draw a prize.

Record 5-0
Points 15

Round 6 against sponge with tuff
I had buzz against his promo Mewtwo.  He computer search with a psy and
double colorless.  Then he lassed my hand full of trainers.  He killed me on
turn three with an absorption and two psyburns.   We played again for fun and
I got another bad hand.

Record 5-1
Points 15

Round 7 against Sponge
I got out a tuff on turn two and destroyed his hand with rocket sneak
attacks.  He did not recover and I killed all his pokemon.

Record 6-1
Points 18

Round 8 against Classic Haymaker
I got tuff early and was able to gust kill two of his chans with pluspowers.
I oaked too much and ended up with 2 prizes and 4 cards.  I lassed to give me
more cards and hopefully get the time, but he was able to stall me out with
some buzzes and lucky flips.

Record 6-2
Points 18

Now I was tied for eighth place with about 5 or more kids.  I had the higher
resistance ( Your opponents skill I think ) so I won the tiebreaker and was
in the top eight.  On to the final eight.

Quarter-finals agnaist Matt with sponge and tuff
I played him in round 6 with him getting the upper hand not this time.  I got
out a second turn tuff and started to oak.  In about 5 minutes I had taken
all my prizes with the help of some pluspowers,  gusts, and item finders.
Poor guy, he was undeafeated until the quart-finals when he lost 6 prizes too
0.  I gave him my deck for  his report.

Semi-finals against Kody with speedtuff
He got a second turn tuff and I soon found myself down by 3 prizes.  I
finally got a super energy removal and slowed him down.  Then I also got out
a tuff and took two prizes.  I was down by one prize with an active buzz with
2 energy and him with one card.  I attacked and said go.  He drew lassed and
reatreated for a fresh chansey.  I drew an item finder with a gust of wind in
my discard pile.  As time was called I findered for a gust and killed a
Scyther with 40 damage on it.  This is what every person wishes for, sudden
death at the super trainer showdown.  I live for this.  Here we go.  On to
sudden death.

Sudden Death
This was bad.  A Buzz, Ditto, Rocket Sneak Attack, Lass, and 3 Electric.  I
start with a buzz he goes first.  He has a Chansey active and he benches a
scyther.  He puts on a double colorless scrunches gets heads and says go.  I
draw another energy!  I RSA to find 4 trainers and a double colorless.  Now I
lass.  I bench Ditto pur an energy on buzz and try to paralyze.  He will take
no damage because of scrunch but I can still paralyze.  It is flipping,
flipping, and... its HEADS!  Not over yet.  He draws puts down a double
colorless on Chansey and oaks.  I almost fall out of my chair.  Top decking
an oak in sudden death, not bad.  To my suprize he says go.  I thought he had
a switch or could have oaked some more to get one.  I draw an item finder.  I
finder for the lass and get rid of his hand.  Now a lay an energy on buzz.
If I get heads with punch he can not win with double edge, which would now
take us both out.  I flip.  It lands and spins on the table.  I was very
nervus.  It is tails!  I lose the STS because of a coin flip.  Wow!  That
stuff does happen.

I guess I came in fourth and the kid I beat in the first round got first.  I
got a bronze medle, cap, binder, 20 boosters, and a jacket in the mail.  I
came from Michigan by the way.  A 5 hour plane ride to loose like that.
Thank god for first class.

Thanks for reading!!!
