Deck name:  Austin's Heart Crusher Deck
   July 29, 2000
   Moline, IL.
   Toys R Us
   Around 20 people

Not too long ago, I was sitting down with a friend, playing a few games of
cards.  We were discussing possible deck ideas that most people in the right
mind wouldn't even consider playing.  I, being not in the right mind and all
for any deck where the designer uses his/her actual imagination, took up a
challenge (set up for myself) to find an unrealistic deck concept to play
with.
By the way, to anyone who basically copies an deck idea, card for card, that
they see here on pojo, isn't playing the game to its fullest potential.  I
argue that without that 4 Blastoise or Wigglytuff deck, you would realize
how horribly you actually design decks of your own.  Practice for crying out
loud!!  Use something else!!  ITS FUN!!!!!!...  Its not fun for anyone that
actually uses their mind to play someone that it is LITERALLY impossible to
win against.
Anywho, after searching for a good half hour through my rare card trapper,
I had a few concepts.  Mew with Dark Magneton, Dark Golbat with Dark
Dragonair, Charizard with Electrode, or Nidoking and Nidoqueen with Dark
Dragonair.  GUESS WHICH ONE I PICKED?!!...............  That's right... The
Pokèmon Diva herself, Nidoqueen!

12 grass energy!!!!!!  : (

4-2-4 Nidoking
4-2-2 Nidoqueen
4-3 D. Dragonair (Base set Dratini)

4 Comp. Search
4 Item Finder
4 Prof. Oak
4 Bill
4 Breeder
3 Nightly Garbage

12 + 25 + 23 = 60

(BTW... I'm thinking about adding a no-energy removal gym, maybe.)

Game one:  Little silly girl from WI.  (A potentially dangerous psychic
deck.)
In my opening hand I managed to get a dratini and two nidoran males.  She
got a base Mewtwo and a gastly.  I was lucky that I decided to put up
dratini first.  Computer search to get a prof. oak and drop my only energy
on nidoran.  (By the way, she was first.)  Then I used prof. oak and got a
nidoran female, dark dragonair and another nidoran male.  Her turn... she
pulled my energy card from Dratini and passed because of my resistance.
Second turn: I pull another energy and put it on dragonair use his power and
evolve a nidoran male.  I Item found an oak and get two breeders, a nido
king and queen.  WOOHOO.  I evolve both nidoran male and female, then pass.
She has a hard time and can't find her gusts... she passes with no more
basic to add to the bench.  I place an energy on nidoqueen and use DD's
power to evolve nidorino to the king and drop a couple bills.  Item finder
was used for a breeder and evolved my last nidoran.  She passed a turn,
still mad and I dropped another energy on the queen.  She played an energy
on gastly and evolved him.  I retreat DD and pummel Mewtwo with my mighty
boyfriends attack.  She put me to sleep with haunter, but I awoke to beat
him in the next turn... ... Weee!... I didn't think the deck was that quick.
  Game won in four rounds.

Game two:  Tall guy from down the street... he's a friend I brought along
with me who likes the card game probably more than I  (A wicked energy
removal deck.)
As luck would have it, I fought three of this decks main problems in the
first decks it faced.  When you have a deck with twelve energy cards, you're
risking alot.  The first round he started with psyduck... the fossil one.
(I had nidoran male and dratini on the bench.) Being his first turn... he
attacked with headache... i.e. no TRAINERS.  (I guess that makes four
problems.)  I was patient, though, and used the opportunity to test out
nidoran's horn hazard.  FAILED.  He placed dratini on the bench.  HEADACHE.
(I think he antisipated the problem after watching me play the deck
before... **sneaky**... )  I built up nidoran female and evolved her into
nidorina and placed another dratini on the bench and retreated nidoran for
dratini.   He evolved to golduck (first mistake).   20 damage no energy
removal.  I use trainers and pull another nidoran male and evolve the other
to nidoking with breeder.  Nidorina steps in with another male nidoran and
with an energy on dratini, I pound him.  He squishes my dratini and I, in
turn, evolve the next dratini into dragonair and pull nidoking with my
pokemon power.  I evolve to nidoking and queen.  Nidoqueen squishes golduck.
Uh-oh... here comes Base Dragonair to rain on my parade.  He pulls an
energy and hits for twenty.  I pull nidoking with Darky D and evolve.
Then... regretfully, I pull a energy with computer search and squish his
dragonair.  But now I have a partially powered promo Mewtwo to deal with...
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... squish!  Another win.

Game three:  A slightly younger gentleman whose name eludes me (Stall... ...
...)
No contest... His choice for stall didn't help at all and all he could do
to save himself was to throw his fully powered chansey at me... ... Ouch to
my first nidoqueen, but she still had enough life to toast it.  The next
chance he had to hurt me was his little mime, but he didn't get one until
the draw after he lost.
There was also a fight against a Snorlax/ TR drowsy deck, a Dark raichu
deck, and a weak fire/fighting/lightning haymaker.

I have lost against two decks... both were wigglytuff decks.  One of them
won in the VERY first turn using a electabuzz against my dratini.  He was
fortunate that he happened to have THREE PLUS POWERS!!  I happened to have
no benched pokemon.

The deck strategy is very simple and if the deck is ever used by anyone
else, it must be used this way or else you will lose HORRIBLY!... Trust me.

1.  Unless its an emergency, use energy only on the nidoqueen series.  If
nidoqueen is fully powered up, use it on D. Dragonair or Nidoking.
2.  Try to play dratini first to counteract psychic characters and get a
couple little pounds in.  If not, start out with nidoran female (she can do
up to 30 damage per turn, or pull up a nidoran or two).  Nidoran male needs
defending for he is not powerful in this deck.
3.  Always try to get 1 D. Dragonair, 1 Nidoqueen, and 4 Nidokings in play.
(Actually, I guess its much wiser to try for 2 Nidoqueens and 3 Nidokings.)
4.  Do not worry about losing a Nidoran female or a Dratini!  You will need
to let a couple characters get knocked out before your bench is built and
there are Nidoran female or Dratini to go around.
5.  Try not to lose a Nidoran male.  They are the hardest cards to obtain in
this deck and the most needed since building them up means increasing the
power of the Boyfriends attack.
6.  Who cares about Nidorino or Nidoking's attacks when "Boyfriends" can do
between 20 and 100 damage.
7.  In the event of a Mr. Mime, use Nidoking!  Nidoking will instantly
destroy a Mr. Mime.
8.  Energy consists of 12 grass and no more, but its not as bad as it seems.
You burn the deck quickly, so energy still comes quickly, but you also
must remember the fact that there are Nightly garbage cards.

If anyone has any ideas on how they could improve my deck, send me an
email... Please.  I love a good critic.

Thanx, Pojo...

Sincerely
Austin "Danger" Boswell
