Well, it's been probably about a couple weeks since I last sent in a deck
report...Anti-Haymaker, a psy/fire. With this deck, I got second place, my
record was 3-1. Here's the deck...
Pokemon: 10
4-MP Mewtwo
Well, he's in there because of the low energy count in this deck, and he
is a regular powerhouse with the help of a first-turn computer search.
3-Scyther
He's in there to kill Ditto when Ditto has 50 damage on it, the fighting
resistance and free retreat cost just make him one of the easiest pokemon to
play in the game.
2-Ditto
He's in there to make people angry, and to kick some major bootie!
Energy: 14
9-Psychic energy
4-DCE
1-Rainbow
Trainers: 36
4-Bill
    Card advantage
4-Oak
Get 7 new cards when you have a hand full of horse dookie.
4-ER
Keep your opponent from making his or her next move energywise.
4-Pluspower
10 extra damage can be devastating to an opponent if you are trying to
get rid of his or her last pokemon.
3-GOW
This card IMO, is one of the best trainers in the game because most of
the time, if you are using this card, it's to usually kill a pokemon.
3-Energy retrieval
Use this card to get back lost energy...Much needed in this deck.
3-Scoop Up
You can get your opponent REALLY mad by using this card when your
opponent has been trying to kill that one pokemon, and you just scoop it up.
3-Comp. Search
This card can be combo'd really well with Mewtwo and two psychic energy.
3-Item Finder
Discard 2 cards for a card already used....that's kinda stupid yet help
in late game
2-SER
This card is kick monkey-butt! Discarding two energies off an opponent's
pokemon is devastating.
2-Lass
This card helped A LOT when I was playing because I got to look at my
opponent's hand and erase the trainers from their hand.
1-Energy Flow
This card is cool because you can take up all of your energy off all of
your pokemon, or you take up energy off just one to save energy when you
Scoop Up.
1-NGR
This card helps replenish your deck A LOT when you are running low on
energy and pokemon.
Well, that's it for the card list, so I should probably get on to the
matches before you all switch your screen to something different...Here we
go!!!!
Round 1-Me vs. Aaron Misrahi(I think that's how you spell it)
OK this round I saw that he was playing with a classic haymaker. He
started with Hitmonchan and Electabuzz, me Scyther, Ditto, and Mewtwo. This
match went extremely slow. He Ser'd me early, and neither of us got energy
until I "Oak-Ed" and got the energy I needed to power-up Mewtwo and finish
off the rest of his pokemon because he never got the heads to stall with
'Buzz.
Record 1-0
Round 2-Me vs. Randy Haines
Okay, Randy was playing with my old deck(Mewtwo/Magmar). I got an early 4
prizes by killing a Mewtwo, 2 Scythers, and a Magmar. In the end, it was
REALLY close. I had 3 Scythers and a Mewtwo out, him a Magmar, and Scythers
with 40 damage on them. I stalled with my three Scythers, and then in the
end, I had out Mewtwo fully pumped with 2 psy energy and a DCE. The only card
in my hand was a rainbow energy. He Smokescreened me and let me go. The
rainbow energy was what I drew. I retreated Mewtwo-discarding the DCE-and
retreated again with Scyther for Mewtwo and attached, and that was the game
for my last prize.
Record: 2-0
Round 3-Me vs. Jason
Okay, this round I won on turn three. The only thing he got out was a
Magmar, and I got a first-turn DCE on a Ditto, and attached a Pluspower to
Ditto, and Smogged him, and it poisoned him! From there, he couldn't get
anything else out, and I won on turn three, because he ER'D me on the second
turn, and I killed him on the third turn with Smokescreen.
Record: 3-0
Round 4-Me vs. Sterling(Finals)
Okay, this was the kid I lost to last time. Before the round even
started, he looked at his prizes! I made him reshuffle his deck and then he
complained when I made him do that! Can you believe that?!? This time I ended
up decking myself, but not before I got 3 prizes off of him. Darn.
Record: 3-1
Well, for second place, I got $7 store credit, along with a lot of other
people. With my store credit, me and my friend split a 75-card booster pack
of Magic cards. I got a lot of stuff, and I think I'll start playing Magic.
Props and slops time!
Props to...
my deck for getting second in a DCI tournament
Slops to...
Sterling for winning the tournaments all the time
Well, that's it for now....
