_I usualy don't participate in tournements.  I usualy spend most of my time
trading for the cards I need for decks.  I can easily put together decks,
but I feel that by card book seems more impressive with all the cards in it.
Anyways, at the Pokemon League I usualy trade for 2 hours.  This day, I
went to the Pokemon League and to a tournement for a sudden twist.  Anyways,
I prepared this deck without play testing, but with my own strategic
knowledge etc.  I then played the deck against my good friend's Raindance.
I won 1 and he won 1.  I didn't have all of the cards for the deck.  I was
missing two Rocket's Scyther and an No Removal Gym.  I had placed in a Goop
Gas Attack and 2 Jungle Scyther in the deck.  After more play testing at the
Pokemon League, I placed in two Ditto instead of Jungle Scyther for faster
attacks and etc.  Also, I got a hold of another No Removal Gym.  Overall, I
was ready for the tournament.  My two friends and I left the Toy's R Us and
left for the tournement.  See for yourselves how well my deck did...

The Blinding Trap

4 Chansey
2 Rocket's Scyther
2 Ditto (Ditto was placed in to make up for the lack of more Rocket's
Scyther)
4 Bill
4 Professor Oak
4 Secret Mission
4 The Rocket's Trap
4 Rocket's Sneak Attack
4 PC Search
4 Item Finder
3 Goop Gas Attack
3 Scoop Up
3 Energy Retireival
3 No Remvoal Gym
8 Grass Energy
4 DCE

Round 1 vs Little Kid (Fighting)
_I have never had such easy matches...  This kid was playing a mono fighting
deck with un even amounts of Pokemon in ratio to Trainers...  I don't even
think he had Trainer cards.  Anyways, both games were won by Rocket's
Scyther who made quick work of those pesky little Base Set Digglet and
Brock's Onix lv 51...
My rating was now 2-0.

Round 2 vs The Usual Tournament Winner (Raindance)
_I played a good first game ruining my opponent's hand.  The game went slow
after the uneventful Professor Oak my opponent pulled, however, and then
that Dark Blastoise...  I beat his deck down after the Dark Blastoise met
Chansey's Double Edge afterwards.  The second game I got a crappy starting
hand.  I had almost mulliganed.  Anyways, to make a long story short, he
pulled out Base Blastoise.  I was two turns from winning in the end, but
lost due to decking.  Game three was fast.  I won on turn 5 with Rocket's
Scyther and Chansey taking out 2 Laparas and 2 Squirtle.  My rating was now
4-1

Round 3 vs Robert the Cheater (Offensive Psy/Electric)
_His deck was poorly constructed.  He kept drawing two cards a turn, and it
was noticable! Hence the "cheater" nick name.  Anyways, the first game went
fast.  I ko'd his base Zapdos and Base Mewtwo with Chansey and Rocket's
Scyter as a usual strategy along with ruining his hand with Trap.  The
second game I was about to win because my opponent had two Pokemon out and I
had a fully powered Chansey out as active.  I double Edged my opponent only
to realize I forgot my Prize cards at the beggining of the game.  I lost
that match on a technicality.  The next game I forgot my prizes again
because my mind was somewhere else.  He started yelling and scooped his deck
up only to realize I hadn't taken my first turn yet or drawn a card, so I
could legaly still put out my prize cards not effecting game play in anyway.
We started that match over due to mayhem.  I won the next round with
little effort. My rating was now 6-2.

Round 4 vs (Psy/Electirc)
_I was prepared for decks like this one.  It basicaly was MP Mewtwo, Mr.
Mime, Electabuzz.  I ran through the first game by Goop Gas Attacking Mr.
Mime and Double Edging the Mr. Mime's and Electabuzz.  Ditto saw some play
in this game as well.  The next game wasn't even close.  Trap, like always
ruined his game.  I smacked down with the same old, same old again.  My
rating... 8-2.

Semi-Final vs Stephen (Raindance)
_Unfortunately, this match was against one of the friends I came with.  I
beat him very quickly both games.  He was moderately upset for losing, but I
bought him a Neo 2 pack after I won first place...  Maybe I shouldn't have
said that just yet... Rating: 10-2

Final vs Same Guy from Round #2 (Raindance)
_I had to wait for about 15 minutes for all the other players to stop
plotting against me and just play the freaking game!  They were planning on
all different sorts of things, like seeing if I forgot my Prize cards or
drawing an extra card etc.  Anyways, they planned to split the winnings if
he won.  They were sure he would win.  The first game I won on turn 5 by
Trapping as usual.  2 Squirtle and an Articuno down the hatch...  I won that
game.  The players faces grew grim then slipped into smiles.  They thought I
would lose the next game.  I won on turn 3.  Two Double Edges on two
Articunos from Chansey won the game for me.  It was great to see the looks
on the other players' faces.  Rating:12-2  1st Place!

_I found that these player obviously weren't happy to see a first time
tournement player to their store win.  The prize was $60 so I quickly spent
the money and left.  I bought 14 Gym Hereos Boosters and 2 Neo 2 Packs, one
for each of my friends that also participated.

Props and Slops
Props to my friend Jeremy for lending me his only Rocket's Scyther so my
deck would have at least 2.
Slops to my opponents for not being challanging enough...

Thanks for Reading!!
