Pokemon League

This was my third time coming to the League. I took my brand new Cleaner
deck with a slight twist.  That twist: Wigglytuff.  "Wiggly in a Cleaner?!
You're nuts!" You may say. But not me. I wanted to experiment with a new
type of deck and this is a new type of deck. If I start with Lickitung, I go
Cleaner style. If anyone else, Turbo Wiggly.  Enough about the deck's
history; lets move on. My friend Jeremy and I arrived at On-Cue about 1:10,
10 minutes after it started. We gave Matt, The Gym Leader, our books and he
stamped us. I pulled out my deck and Jeremy asked me to play. I agreed. OH!
I forgot the deck list, didnt I? He..he..silly me..Anyway, here it is, The
Cleaner!

3 Growlithes
Were you thinking Vulpix? Growlithe is a mean little puppy. 60 HP will allow
him to last a while. Flare is so-so but if it did 30, it would be MUCH
better.

2 Base Arcanines
Ahh..the backbone of a Cleaner. This tough dog packs a punch. And 100 HP for
a Stage 1 is good. Takedown means trouble to every Haymaker Poké and
Flamethrower toasts anything else.

1 Promo Arcanine
I love this card. Shame I only have 1. This bad dog means trouble to most
Pokemon. Quick attack is OK but I hardly use it. Now Flames of Rage is
GREAT! 2 fire for 40 is super but you have to discard 2 fire. Boy, I wish I
had more....

3 Lickitungs
Were you expecting Chansey maybe? Lickitung is a great staller IMO. 90 HP
will allow him to take a beating and Toungue Wrap is by no means terrible.
And theres Supersonic....*shudder*

4 Jigglypuffs
Theres no way to get Wiggly without Jigglypuff besides Brock's Ninetales.

3 Wigglytuffs
Need I say more?

1 Erika's Dratini
I love his Pokemon Power! I think it rivals Mr. Mime's Invisible wall. Never
heard of Erika's Dratini? Dont know it's stats? Well, I'll post 'em here:
Basic Pokemon-Erika's Dratini
40 HP
Power: Mysterious Barrier: Whenever a basic Pokemon attacks and does damage
to Dratini thats over 20, reduce that damage to 10. (Dont apply...Blah,
blah, blah)
Tail Strike 10+
Flip a coin, if heads, this attack does 20 more damge. If Tails, it does 10.
(not the greatest Translation by me but I have the basics)

Trainers
2 Rocket Sneak Attacks
Look at your opponents is great to see what they're about to plan AND
getting to pick a trainer to shuffle into their deck is even better!

3 Pluspowers
Do I really need to Explain?

4 Prof. Oaks
(Look at Pluspower)

3 CPU Search
Grab that needed Oak or get that last PP to KO that dang 'Buzz. Every deck
should have this card IMO. Sucks that you have to discard 2 cards though.

3 GOW
Or Gust of  'Win'  as Scott puts it. :) Pick off that badly damaged
Hitmonchan or KO that Jigglypuff in the corner.

3 NRG Retrieval
Get those energies Arcanine discard. A must have in a Cleaner.

1 No Removal Gym
This is in Jap but its still gold. I love watching people discard 2 cards
from their hand just to use an Energy Removal.

1 Erika
"You may draw up to three cards, then your opponent may draw up to three
cards." Its Bill but better!  Too bad I only got one...

3 Switchs
Arcanine badly damged and run dry? Have no fear, Switch is here! Use these
on Lickitungs to switch to Wiggly or Arcanine!

4 DCE energies
Fuel for Wiggly and Arcanine.

16 Fire energies
Were you expecting Psychic? Water even?

60 cards

I know the energy is slim for a Cleaner but with the card drawing power and
NRG Retrieval, you'l have energies most of the time. The place allowed Japs.
Now on with the report!

First Match: Me with Cleaner Vs. Jeremy with Mono-Electric/Ditto deck
He has lots of Magnetons and Electrodes in his deck. The game was a bit
fuzzy...heh. I know I went first and it was Erika's Dratini Vs. TR Voltorb.
I attached a DCE to Erika's Dratini and attached a Pluspower. I flipped
heads with Tail Strike and got a first turn win! (He had no more basics)
Record: 1-0-0         (win-loss-tie)

Second match: Me with Cleaner Vs. Scott(I think) with Colorless? deck
I cant remember much of anything about this match. I remember he had a
Meowth(TR) and me a Jiggly. I got Wiggly about 4 turns into the game with 4
benched and took down everything he sent against me.
Record: 2-0-0

Third Match: Me with Cleaner Vs. Same kid with a Fighting type deck
He challange me again and took a Fighting deck against me. This too was
fuzzy. I remember Wiggly came out and Waved his last few basics and a
Raticate.
Record: 3-0-0

Fourth match: Me with Cleaner Vs. Same kid with Water deck
He challanged me AGAIN and we bagan. I got a really bad hand and couldnt get
Wiggly or Arcanine out. His Poliwrath beat down 2 Lickitungs and Erika's
Dratini before I got get promo Arcanine out. His Dewgong took care of
Arcanine.
Record: 3-1-0
I told him I knew someone was gonna take a Water deck against me. I shook
his hand and looked around a bit. I watched Jeremy waste a kid's Water deck.
Another kid challanged me before he left.

5th match: Me with Cleaner Vs. Darin(?) with grass deck.
He had a lot of weak  grass guys benched. I had 2 Growlithes and 1 Jiggly.
Lickitung was the opener for me. He went first. A few turns later, his
benched Nidoran is a Nidorino and I kill of his active Nidoran. My Arcanine
lays waste to other little basics while poisoned. I had to Take-Down an
Oddish and kill Arcanine AND the Oddish. I had one prize left, him 5. He
sends up Nidorino, I send up Promo Arcanine. He evolves into Nidoking and
uses Toxic. I CPU search for a PP and use Flames of Rage to win.
Record: 4-1-00

I played Jeremy about 3 more times and won 'em all. My record was like
8-1-00.  Now Props and Slops!
