Well, Hobby Town USA is the only Pokemon place in the area, and I just
had to go to a prerelease Gym tourney.  The tourney was a bit later than
all the others, so I could metagame quite a bit, and test my deck.  When
I got to the tourney, I looked for the 4 DCE I needed in my deck, but
they didn't have any for sale.  After trying for a trade, I got my 2 Gym
boosters, and had to make my deck.  So here it is, Clean Cut Kitty!

Fire
12 Fire energy
3 Growlithe
2 Arcanine
1 Magmar (Base)
1 Magmar (Fossil)

Fighting
6 Fighting energy
4 Machop
1 Hitmonchan

Psychic
1 Sabrina's Mr. Mime (LV. 20)

Colorless
3 Meowth
2 Persian

Trainers
1 Trash exchange
2 Plus Power
2 Defender
3 Gust of Wind
3 Switch
3 Energy Retrieval
3 Professor Oak
4 Bill
4 Gambler

The Idea of this deck is to Cleaner, and take care of Metagaming Mr.
Mime and Mewtwo decks.  Trash exchange is to get more energy in, and
Gambler stalls for the last second and counters all my Oak and Bill.
Yep, I for once actually wanted a tails!  And for all you people that
manipulate benches, I don't use that.  The Magmar, okay, I lied about the
tails thing.  But what's the most fun?  Tauros while trying to power up a
rage.  Tails all the way then! :-)  Well, here's what happened.

~Round 1 Versus Austin W. (Chansey/Kazam/Mime Stall)
Guess what?  he didn't come!  Our league director decided to pair me up
with Jacob A.  There are two reasons why I shouldn't have been paired
with him.  First off, it seriously screwed up the loser's bracket of the
Double Elimination tourney.  Secondly, it was a stall deck.  Not fun.  I
couldn't get my Canine out to take out the Kazam he put out, and when I
did get him out, he retreated to Mime and Meditated me to my doom.  I ran
out of switches, and I lost on prizes, he got them all, I only had 2.
If I had those DCE, Id've been able to take the Chansey out, then get my
Fossil Magmar to add up the fun with poison for Mime.
Win-Loss so far. 0-1.

~Round 2 Versus Tyler H ("the Better Blackout")
Everyone KNOWs those precon's stink.  But this deck had some sense.
But no pokemon higher than 50 HP made it Magmar and Arcanine Fodder, and
it was a quick game.  Thankfully no Water pokemon peered out, but Id've
taken them out too. :-)
Win-Loss so far.  1-1

~Round 3 Versus Jesse M (A fire deck.  He didn't know Arcanine meant a
Cleaner deck.  So it's a Fire deck )
Well, he had the guts to stay with 1 basic, and it got him.  I get
Growlithe out with Flare and plus Power, and Charmeleon gets ready to
Thrower me.  He scratched me earlier with the mander, and I'd be done
with my tournament, if it weren't for that Arcanine in my hand.  I het a
Fire energy on, and Thrower with a Plus Power for a win!
Win-Loss so far. 2-1

~Round 4 Versus Stephanie ( Cool Cat and Fire deck )
Finally, someone that understands why Persian is so good!  She hoped
for the best when I took out my Mime (BTW, he's REALLY good for the
Sleight of Hand atack, that's the only reason why he's in the deck), but
my Hitmonchan made quick fodder out of it.  Fast, but good game.
Win-Loss so far. 3-1

~Round 5 Versus Jacob A ("the ikky, sticky, suck it up and then poop out
the damage stall deck!" )
BTW, the store manager called that deck that.  He's now very popular
with all the kids at the tourney!  Well, I get an OK hand and get 4
prizes, he got 5 with Meditate.  I KO'd the MIME with my Magmar.  Then a
DCE goes on to Chansey, and a Doubled edge got me, and he won.
Win-Loss so far. 3-2

Well, no extra boosters.  But I did get the 2 at the beginning, and
decided to get 4 Base2 boosters.  A whole ton of crud, but I got a
Nidoking out if it, and I've been hoping to get that bugger any time
soon.  Evolutions were very prominent, so at the next tournament, I'll be
playing my favorite Aero and Bow deck, Get ready to se it soon!

Props to:
~Hobby Town USA HQ for getting the old owner who didn't give a hoot
about pollution and Pokemon out of the store and getting Scotty, IMO a
much better person.
~ Scotty, for actually being a good manager and paying for all the
boosters for the tournament.  No entry fee made is too sweet!
~ This one person's mom (forgot the name) for helping her 5 year old son
get 4 boosters for winning the losers' bracket (the kid made a pretty
good haymaker, saying that 99% of the people at our league don't do
Haymakers)
~ Me, for having the guts to go to the tourney, and me for helping the
league judge when he screwed up the Double Elim table, and Me again for
trying very hard to get 4 DCE, and Me a fourth and final time to have the
guts to go to the bathroom during a round.  (man, did I have to go
though!)
~Everyone I played: They really worked hard to get those boosters!
~The people who wanted to trade me for 4 DCEs, but couldn't because we
were only allowed to bring our deck.)
Slops to:
~Whoever tried to find 4 DCE but couldn't becuse he wanted to figure out
pairings a mere 5 minutes before the 1st round.
~Me for not asking friends for 4 DCE, even though they didn't have any
~Me again for not using a Denial deck (I though that prohibition would
be used a lot, but it wasn't at all, and the winner had a Denial Deck)
~Everyone that said that I'd get a DCE in 4 Base 2 Boosters.  Obviously,
I didn't, but I did get a sweet Nidoking!
~People that dis me for not playing as well as I could have.  I tried
too hard for you to do that!

If anyone can suggest in a POSITIVE way how to fix my deck, E-mail me at
sephirothaven@juno.com.  Remember though that I have no Computer Searches
or Item Finders.  and whatever you do, DON'T JUST SEND ME YOUR DECK
BECAUSE IT WORKS.  I like my deck! :-)  Hope you enjoyed this, and e-mail
suggestions to you know where.  'Till then,  Good luck in the future!
