    Well lets start off with this piece of goodmind, 10:30 A.M. is hell at Toys R' Us.  At exactly 10:30, everyone comes up for stamps.  No one knows exactly why this is...but it's annoying.  Very annoying.  Anyway this is my first report of the HayFever deck.  You might have seen my original post ---- http://pojo.com/TCGStrategies/July2000/25h.htm ---- ((I know your just yearing to click it)).  Yep thats it.  Hayfever 1.0.   The original.  Well now its 1.4.  Everytime I edit this deck, even if its one card, another tenth of a point is slabbed onto the name.  Well this deck has changes dramatically from that one, and for all the people who e-mailed me saying that deck sucked.  Thank you!  I appreciate it because someone told me to put Promo Mewtwos in.  I did that orginally but it didn't work out (here comes HF 1.3) and so I put in Electabuzzes.  Oh yes they work for me, so I changed around some cards and now your finally ready to view... HayFever 1.4 (Dramatic music plays)  And all of you people who saw that post are dying to read the report.  I'll tell you know, I won 5 games and lost 1.  A 5-1 record.  Not bad I must say...but read the report!

3 Scyther
    (From playtesting, this sucker needs to be in every deck!  Except maybe Psychic Stalls.  (J.S.).  But when he's in a grass deck he's stronger then ever!)

4 TR Oddish
    (The main spine of the deck.  You need these little suckers to get the Dark Vileplume out.  Poison will do for a turn or two too.)

1 Dark Gloom
    (He's here.. just incase..  you know if you have a Dark Vileplume out, you can't use trainers.  That means no breeder.  I use him just in case)

4 Dark Vileplume ( 3 non-holo, 1 holo)
    (The main backbone of the deck.  This is the card that ruined the haymaker that ruined his day that ruined the tournment that changed the outcome that made him lose his mind.  Attack good...if you have another.  Bad if you get bad coinflips.)
- To get to the mountain, you need to have the key.  To have the key you need to talk to Bushi.  To talk to Bushi you have to be in town.  To be in town you have to beat the boss.  To beat the boss you have to be level 50, etc. etc. --- Chris Tilley
 
3 Electabuzz
    (He's an attacker.) - Nuff' said. --- Nuff
 
3 Ditto
(My friend Ditto.  He'll work with Double Colorless well, with his friend Scyther (Piccolo).  He's also a nice attacker)
- No phrase here.  He reminds me of Mario in Mario Bros. 3 where he changes into the statue.

It appears different from Hayfever 1.0 doesn't it!  Yes and it did better too.  Onto the reports.
 
Battle 1 vs. CJ with Muk/Dark Muk deck
Well CJ is a gym leader there and I took him to the league today.  Stamping duty for me (great..).  Anyway he was using his Muk deck.  I knew he wouldn't stop me.  So it starts out Scyther vs. Magmar.  Well He got out my Scyther and Oddish got him poison.  KO.  Anyway into the game it was a great battle.  I got Dark Vileplume out around turn 7.  Great for me.  No trainers for him.  So he was pretty much stopped.  All he was drawing was energy.  But he had 1 prize left.  He had no bench.  He had 40 hp left.  I had 10.  It came down to a coinflip.  My Electabuzz vs. his Magmar.  I flip...........and its HEADS!  I win!

Battle 2 vs. CJ again, using Energy Denial
This is the only deck I fear, energy denial.  They totally screw my days up.  And it was very funny to.  His machop vs. Electabuzz.  I was totally gone.  I drew Electabuzz and switched.. bad move.  I should have tried to stay up and parlyze.  I got the bad hand.  He won the game, with a lowly machop. ARGH

Battle 3 vs. Jason with Potpourri
Ok, I needed to see if this deck can do good against archetypes.  Apparently it does.  He was using the classic Potpourri.  Mr.Mime/Magmar/Electabuzz was the main attackers.  All I saw were Magmar and Electabuzz.  Got Scyther out, Oddish and Electabuzz on bench.  I go first, throw an energy on Electabuzz, use a bill and pass.  He attack with smokescreen.  20 damage.  Since I knew he was using a classic Potpourri I computer searched for a Dark Vileplume, non-holo.  I breeder up.  He said he's screwed.  And he's right.  I promote Electabuzz and reak havoc among his last 2.  Another win for me.

Battle 4 vs. John with Wigglymaker
Since I knew John was going to play a Wigglymaker, I played it safe and decided not to use any Challenges!  this game.  But I did anyway!  It was Scyther vs. Magmar.  Sheesh, lots of Magmars aren't there?  Well I knew I was toast unless I got a basic.  I drew a Challenge! anyway.  I decided to play it.  HE DECLINES!  Amazing!  I draw 2 cards.  Oddish and Computer Search.  Put Oddish on the bench and computer search for a breeder.  I draw a Ditto.  Good!  I let Scyther die.  Promote Ditto.  Throw a double colorless on and smog with a poison.  Oh!  I also breedered into a Dark Vileplume that fight.  From there on he was sunk.  I KOed his Magmar and that was the end.
((Note: I did check his deck and it is a Wigglymaker but he had a very crappy hand))

Battle 5 vs. John with Super Haymaker
Don't ask me why its called Super Haymaker.  I think it's because he threw some Magmar in.  Because thats all I saw.  HAHAHA.  Easy match.  Magmar vs. Ditto.  Interesting.  ((BTW: He fav. Pokemon is magmar)).  And since I knew it was crammed with trainers I threw a challenge.  He declines.  His bad both ways because I drew my favorite in this deck.  Little ol' Oddish.  I attach Double colorless to Ditto and Smog.  No poison.  His turn he smokescreens.  My turn I breeder in Dark Vileplume and he puts an electabuzz on his bench.  I knock out his Magmar and he forfits (however you spell it).  Good descision.

Now you might be wondering why I said 5-1 matches.  That was because I used one of CJ decks just for fun, and I beat him.  So really its 4-1 for this deck, but 5-1 for the day!
 
 
All in all.  It was a good day.  I got to play stamper for the day.  Stamping kids books as they run up to me every 5 dang minutes.  But I usually let CJ do that.  Stamping is tiring when your trying to play.  I still yet to play Aerodactyl decks.  It will be interesting.  All I see here is that it has a weakness to energy denial decks.  So far this deck has defeated:

FEAR ME!  Actually you don't because I doubt you will run and get the cards from this deck.  Its pretty strong though.  I like this deck.  It amuses me when my oppenet tries to play a bill when I have Vileplume on my bench.  And I'm not anti-archetype either.  I used to use a Sponge.  I don't anymore because I needed the Electabuzzes and Dittos from the deck.   I had a great time and bought 2 Gym Heros packs.  Got a Misty's Goldeen and Rocket's Snorlax.  Ugh.  No holos.
 
All in all I had a good time at Toys R' Us.  We just started Earth Badge week (I think we're a week behind?) and Jimmy (main gymleader) said they aren't gonna do Victory Road.  WHAT?  That sucks, what am I gonna do?  Blah, nothing now right.  I hope not, just gotta find a place in Greensboro that does tournaments.  But there aren't any descently good comicshops doing Pokemon tourneys.
