"Synergy Craze" by Toby Aurora
Crazy Eddies Comics, Munster, IN
Gym: Heroes Prerelease Tournament
August 5th

This deck I got from a deck garage here on Pojo's. The original title was
"Spongy Stuff" created by Ace of Blades.

I'm VERY sorry about the lack of detail. I was trying to win each match
quickly and didn't have time to take notes.

Here's the deck:
3 MP Mewtwo
3 Scyther
3 Electabuzz
4 Jigglypuff
3 Wigglytuff

4 Bill
3 Oak
4 PlusPower
3 Computer Search
3 RSA
2 SER
3 GOW
2 Itemfinder

9 Psychic Energy
7 Electric
4 DCE

After paying $5 to enter the tournament, Josh (who runs all the tourneys) was
going to set it up normally, with assigned opponents. I was already annoyed
that we had to include a Gym card in our deck , and that we would only get
our promised Misty's Seadra if we completed the score sheet (Played 13
battles) and said something, and he agreed and let everyone play who they
wanted, you could even play the same person twice, as long as it was not in a
row.

I won the first 5 matches I played, they were all younger kids. One kid
didn't know the rules, Wiggly put his pokemon to sleep, he didn't roll to
wake up until a turn later.

Match 6 vs. Tony w/ Raindance

This was a pretty tense match. I got Wiggly out early and got 4 prizes before
his Blastoise showed up. He sent out a fully pumped Articuno and Blizzarded,
thinking to kill me next turn. I used PlusPower to KO it, the next turn I
gusted out a Squirtle for the win.

Match 7 vs. Steve

Again, the details of this match are really fuzzy. The match went on for
awhile, both of us getting prizes evenly. Finally we each had one prize left,
he played Lt. Surges Treaty, and I agreed. We each drew our last prize and
declared it  a draw.

Match 8(?) vs. little girl

This match was horrible. I started with a lone scyther. She mulliganed, I
drew two, hoping for an Oak...and got a DCE and an energy. She had 4 water
pokemon out. I won the flip, attached, and said go. She attached to her
active goldeen and did Horn Attack for 10. I attached a DCE to Scyther and
Slashed. Next turn she evolved to Seaking and retreated for an Articuno. I
got a MP Mewtwo and benched it with an electric energy, my only psy energy
being on scyther. She KOed Scyther, and KOed my helpless Mewtwo for the win,
I not having any basics, or even an oak, or other helpful trainers.

I went on to play another kid, and then that little girl again. This time
Wiggly got out quickly and stomped all her little water pokemon.

I played 3 more matches, 2 wins, 1 loss, 13 matches total. It was 5:00, the
end of the time period, so everyone turned in their score sheets and they
totaled up the points.

1st place-31 points, Tony.
2nd place-28 points, Steve
3rd place-24 points, Me.

I got 4 more boosters, and opened them to find Misty's Tentacruel(H) Brocks
Onix (my 2nd one) Lt. Surge's Raichu  and Surge's Electabuzz.

Props and Slops
Props to getting 2 holos- Tony and Steve, who got 12 and 8 boosters, pulled
almost none.
Props to Wizards for having the Prerelease tourney
Props to Ace of Blades for the deck idea
Props to Wigglytuff for doing so well all day.
Slops for missing first place by 7 points
Slops to the Misty's Seadra activity sheet, which had incorrect answers to
the questions.

Once again, I'm sorry for the lack of detail on the matches. I was trying to
play as many matches as quickly as possible, and all the matches were really
similar, so they blended together.
