Hello everybody! My friend, AJ, and I
participated in a team battle on 3/26/00, in Superhero City Comics&Cards
in Sewell, NJ. The tournament fee was $2. We had to pair up into 2
and give ourselves a name and decide who's the captain. We flipped a
coin to decide and I was the captain. We wanted to call ourselves team
rocket but the store owner didn't let us. With 3 minites to decide what
our name would be, we called ourselves "The Team". how
creative!(sarcasm)
Here is my deck. The deck's theme is to get
a 2nd turn Wigglytuff.

I later took out 10 G energy for F energy and
swapped chansey for Chan because my not being able to attack fast was hard.
Here is my friend's deck. The theme is to
stall w/ lickitung while you pump up an arcanine or a dewgong.

ROUND ONE
[Tyler]I played against a deck that like mine
exept electabuzz instead of chansey.
We both begin with with scythers. I manage
to get out my 2nd turn wigglytuff but it gets Super Energy Removaled. We
keep energy removaling each other through most of the game. I took more
prizes, but I had less cards in my deck. I decked out because I had no
energy to get that last prize with.
[AJ]I was up gainst a rain dance. I decided
to keep growlithe and arcanine in my hand and pump up dewgong. soon he
got a blastoise out and beat down on my lickitung. but i managed to
get 50 on him w/ paralisys and when hydropump brought down lickitung i aurora
beam fin blas. he promoted another squirtle and bred to blastoise and
raindanced a 40 attack he gusted growlithe and hydropumped for the kill.
I defended w/ dewgong and attached an energy for a hopeful ice beam.
tails. he managed to get more E on blastoise and h pumped me down,
but by the time my dewgong was down his blastoise had 80 on it and
lickitung paralized to a kill. unfortunately this was a 2 color
raindance and he KOed me with special punch with +power.
LOSS 0-1
ROUND TWO
We played against my brother and my friend on a
team.
[Tyler] I fought my brother with an
exeggutor deck. he begins with exeggcute, and i begin with jiggly.
he goes first. He attatches a grass energy and says go. I attatch
a grass energy and lullaby, and it doesn't work. He attatched a DCE to
exeggcute and evolved and I thought I was screwed, but he only did 40 to me
with big eggsplosion. I draw an oak, evolve jiggly, attatch a dce, get 6
basics with oak and win on the second turn.
[AJ] I played against my friend's haymaker.
i stalled him a lot but whenever my lickitung was about to KO a
scyther, hitmonchan or magmar he'd scoop up. Arc eventually got me some
prizes but time was called and he had 1 prize left and i had 2 left.

ROUND THREE
[Tyler] This game was sort of vague. I think
I was imposter oaked at the end and decked out to the best of my reclection.
[AJ]i played a hay w/ lots of dittos.
Arcanine plowed through a lot of scythers and took down the dittos. it
was nice that i had two powered arcs w/ retrievals & switches. I
took all prizes
TIE
1-1-1
ROUND FOUR
[Tyler] This was a fun game. I began
with Jiggly and he began with squirtle. I lassed away his breeders and
he had problems. Major problems. I was able to evolve to wiggly but I
needed one more basic on the bench to kill his squirtles in one blow. I
finished off like two squirtles until a third came out and bubbled me to
death. I sent out a fully charged scyther and slashed the squirtle to
kill it. He sent out articuno, who was his only bench. I retreated
for chansey and double edged for the game. That was fun!
[AJ]he started out w/ electabuzz and one benched.
i went first w/ lickitung andparalized his buzz. it was back and fourth with ER
until thunderpunch finally took out lickitung. but the only reason why
electabuzz survived so long was THE FOUR POTIONS HE USED ON IT. by the
time lickitung went down arc was charged w/ 5 fire energy. I
flameflower and burned buzz & took down hitrmo and scyther and won.

ROUND FIVE
[Tyler] I barely remember this game. I
think I kept my jigglies and wigglies in my hand because of weakness. I
only put down the scythers. He and I battled furiously with our 70HP
Pokemon until the end, which i remember clearly. He had one prize left,
but four cards left in his deck. I decided i can stall him out with my
scyther against his hitmonchan. I retreated chansey for scyther and let
him go, but he attatched a DCE and retreated for another scyther, slash, kill,
game. I kinda regret that, but in the end, it really didn't matter.
[AJ]I vaguely remember this game, but i do
remember i slaughtered a lot of scythers and ran out of bench later.
LOSS
2-2-1
ROUND SIX
[Tyler] I played against a little kid with a
haymaker. I begin with chansey and scyther benched and him ditto.
ohh, this seems like an easy battle! I play a DCE, lass away all Energy
Removals, scrunch, heads. He DCE's and Scrunches himself. I don't
attach the second DCE yet, but I scrunch instead. heads. then he
scrunches and fails. I attatch the dce and doubleedge. Then, he
gusts out my scyther and he didn't realize he automaticly transformed into
scyther and dies. he called the judge over and I was right, he became a
scyther and died due to 80 damage on him. I win. That is why I
don't like ditto!
[AJ]This is a swords dancing haymaker. he
danced 4 turns but ERed SERed and itemfinder POed him. by the time i ran
out of ER and scyther and lickitung were slashed down Arc was fully
charged and took down 4 scythers in a row without energy. Then,
this kid got smart and sent out a lonely ditto w/ 100 hp it took me 2
flamethrowers to kill it. most ditto decks aren't used to putting over 2
energies on a ditto and it was an ER battle again. he managed to
get a flamethrower off but i got 2. No bench left for him.

3-2-1
With a 3-2-1 record we're in fourth place and we
get into the finals.
SEMI FINALS
[Tyler]It was jigglypuff versus hitmonchan.
I went down fast, and there was nothing I could do. Oh well.
[AJ]we played this guys once before in the
tourney. so this guy knew my deck and powered up a dtto and i managed to
get 50 on it w/ tounge wrap then the idiot RETREATED THE DITTO!!!
PRIZE!!!! it was all for the best in his favor b/c special punch wrecked
my weakened lickitung. with a no energy seel as my only basic i defended
and lost in 2 turns.
We came in like forth place and we weren't
supposed to get any prize, but the store owner, Fank, gave us one booster each
because he felt sorry for us because we lost completely by chance.

cards can win, and electabuzz, scyther, hitmonchan and blastoise aren't the

slops to my friend, mike, who got a 4-2 game
record, but because of my brother and his partner's bad record he didn't get
anywhere near 1st place. He kept cussing and yelling at my brother.
Chill, mike! my brother is only nine years old!
now for AJ's props & slops...
props to the store owner. i'd like to tell
you i called him an @$$ in my last report but i now realize he was just
kidding around and realized he's a great guy b/c he gave us boosters when he
shouldn't have.
prope to my friend mike because when time ran out
his chan was just about to get his last prize off off my lickitung.
props to my other friend shawn for letting me rip
him off by giving me 3 holos and 3 rares for charizard.
slops to this evil little blonde haired kid who
knows how to play hay well who told my opponent what deck i played
slops to ditto b/c at least 3 of the trainers
there made actions that caused their own dittos to dimise(ditto is highly
praised but he ain't all that)
This took a lot of time and effort to write..so I
