What a glorious return to the Pojo's Killer Deck reports! I've been absent
from this place for quite a while, ever since I sold my Haymaker and went
with my own deck modifications. Lately I've been trying my luck with 4-4
Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff and adding Damage Swap to it, but I traded that deck
for a pre-made Rain Dance and added a few Blastoise and made proper
modifications. So, here it is, Homer's first Rain Dance!

Monsters-
2 Blastoise
4 Squirtle
4 Articuno
3 Magikarp
3 Gyarados

Energy-
25 Water Energy

Trainers-
4 Pokemon Breeder
1 Ecolo Gym (from the Neo expansion set)
4 Proffessor Oak
3 Bill
3 Super Potion
1 Item Finder
2 Computer Search
1 Pokemon Trader

Translation for Ecolo Gym
Ecolo Gym
Type: Trainer (Stadium Card)
Effect: Whenever a Non-Colorless Energy card is discarded by an opponent's
attack, Pokemon Power or Trainer card, return that card from the respective
player's discard pile to his or her hand. (This Stadium card stays in play
for the entire game.  If another Stadium card is played, discard this card.)
No number (Rare)
PICTURE: A grass Gym, under a glass case.

The above translation was taken from Edo's Neo spoiler, which can be found
on the Pojo's Card spoiler page.

The main strategy involved with this deck is to get out your best cards with
Comp. Search, Oak, and Bill. You should use Comp Search to get out Ecolo Gym
first so you can  keep your energy in your hand with Oak and Bill. As long
as you have a Blastoise in play, and all pokemon have full energy, you can
retreat for free (by discarding the energy for the retreat cost, which goes
straight back into your hand, and then re-attaching it with Rain Dance)and
completely destroy everyone- if you want to, you can use Pokemon Center to
get all damage counters off of everyone and then all of the energy will go
back.

Tourney report-

Pre-tourney-
I walked up to the counter, signed up, and bought a pack. With my recent
luck from booster packs everyone was laughing, jokingly saying, 'Yeah, he's
going to get a Lass/Beedrill/<insert non-wanted card here!>." I opened the
pack and revealed a shiny new Charizard! This made me feel great, because
the previous day I opened a booster and got a Blastoise. ^_^

Round 1-
This round I played an anti-Raindance deck. It was Mew vs. Squirtle, he went
first. He attached, and left me to go. I drew, got my 'stoise, and attached,
paralyzing him. He proceeded to go. I then drew Ecolo Gym, used Breeder to
evolve to Blastoise, played Ecolo Gym, and Rain Danced 60 damage onto him
thanks to Oak.

Record so far-
1-0

Round 2-
I played a Haymaker. To skip all imformalities..
Hitmonchan + Plus Power = Death for Magikarp
'nuff said.
The kid was nice, and I played him two more times, and utterly destroyed
him. ^_^

Record so far-
1-1

Round 3-
I played another Rain Dance. This game was the closest game I've ever
played- with one prize left on each side he won by Gust of Winding out
Magikarp and using Freeze Dry. It seems that day Magikarp was being kind of
non-helpful.

Record-
1-2

Round 4-
I played a Psychic/Electric deck, which had me worried. My first hand was
Magikarp, Squirtle, Ecolo Gym, and a few Water energy. I went first and drew
an Oak. I put Ecolo Gym down, Oaked it, drew Breeder, Bill, Gyarados, and a
few energy. I Billed, drew an Oak and a Comp Search. I attached to Squirtle
and Paralyzed his Mewtwo. He went, doing nothing but attaching to his
Mewtwo, and let me go. I drew a..dun dun dun..Blastoise and evolved with
Breeder. I evolved Karp and Rain Danced them both to full energy. I Oaked,
drawing two Articuno, a few energy, and an Item Finder. I got a Bill back
and decimated him with Gyarados and Blastoise, then retreating and killing
him with Articuno's Blizzard.

Record-
2-2

So far I had a pretty good record, and finished 16th in the tourney. That
day was the deck's first run so I tweaked it post-tourney.

Props and Slops.
Props-
To a kid for trading my Charizard for a Blastoise(CD Promo, same attacks as
the Base Blastoise) and a few other cards.
To another kid for trading a Clefairy for 2 Breeders and a Comp Search
To me for deciding to pull the bottom pack from the box, which got me the
Charizard. ^_^
To the store owner for raising the price of a Mewtwo which was going to go
in my deck(the one that I traded for the semi-Rain Dance)

Slops-
To virtually everyone there for constantly wanting to see my Green Lanter
ring.

I'll try to post another deck report up next week, which will hopefully have
a better turn-out. ^_^
