Ahh, the stars and strips forever... how beautiful they are. Red White Blue,
hey! Aren't those colors in the Pokemon TCG? That's what came to mind when I
made the deck. Knowing I came in third at the tourny with it, I knew the
strips and stars were with me. So here's the deck!

4x Lapras <Confuse Ray followed up with 30 damage water gun...>
2x Chansey <Build up my bench and use it to attack! I think I'm the only one
that uses him for his massive attack purpose!>
2x Jigglypuff <I needed the sleep effect>
2x Kangaskahn <A natural Poké Powerhouse>
4x F. Magmar <Poison and attack prevention is god in this game>
Total <14>
4x Energy Removal <Why wouldn't you put one in your deck?>
4x S. Energy Removal <Keep your opponent from doing SQUAT to you for at
least a turn.>
4x Plus Power <10+ damage is ALWAYS useful>
4x Gust of Wind <I choose to have you bring out... caterpie! Smog!>
2x Energy Retrival <S. Removal devistates lapras, I want that energu back>
Total <18>
4x DCE <The deck has colorless pokemon so...>
11x Fire Energy <The deck also has fire pokemon so...>
13x Water Energy <Replace fire with water and see above>
total <28>

Round 1 Vs. Garcia <Mono-Psy>

The starting round was a mismatch. He played his mono Psychic deck to my
haymaker. Sadly, every chance I got I used energy Removal on him, to keep
his Pokemon energy-less. The only time he did do much damage to me was with
Prophecy by his Hypno. I just used Magmar and Lapras to dish out damage with
him yeilding only 1 prize.

Round 2 Vs. Pesner <Mono-Fighting Haymaker>

This round kept moving back and forth until the boat tipped in my favor and
sunk, pretty much. His mono fighting deck went dry of energy when I
removaled a ton of the suckers. He knocked out Magmar, Lapras, and another
Magmar before I took his team out. Oddly, his deck only had Hitmonchan,
Kangaskahn, and Hitmonlee.

Round 3 Vs. Lee <Mewtwo Maker with scyther>

I was slaughtered. I could have sworn he had about 80 energy removals and 10
scoop ups. Whenever I'd gust out a benched, un-powered weakling, he'd scoop
up and re-bench it and send out the powerhouse he was attacking with. He
used and Mono-Psychic with some scyther. By the time I had chansey to stall
with, he Psyburned me with a few energy removals thrown in and slashed me
down. After this, I baught 2 base 1 boosters to cheer me up, only to find I
had gotten a Mewtwo and Ninetails in both! I knew my luck would change.

Round 4 Vs. Taminsky(Younger Bro) <Raindance>

For my fourth round, I faced a familiar face from the TCG League. He was the
younger of two brothers armed with a raindance deck. I was afraid at first,
but Magar Stalled long enough to get a well powered Bench. I Nuker his
Articuno an destroyed his Blastoise when it came out. When he brought out
another Articuno, I sent out a maxed Kangaskahn and flipped 4 heads! It was
off to battle for 3rd place.

Round 5 Vs. Taminsky(older Bro) <Cleaner(?)>

Oddly enough, I'd lost and won to him before. This became our deciding
match. Whoever won got 3rd place and was the better of the 2. Luckily, I had
my Laprases against his mostly Mon-Fire deck. I started out draining energy,
gusting and knocking out some of his heavy hitters early on. The end came
down to my drained Lapras Vs. His almost totally powered Arcanine. I drew a
DCE and retreated to Smog him to death with Magmar.

The Tourny ended with me getting 9 more Points and the ability to get the
Marsh Badge next time I went to the league. I also got $15 in store credit
which I used to buy 4 base 1 boosters, one of which hearalded a Charizard!
My deck faired well, but I ended up taking jiggly out for more energy
retrivals. So anyway, till nex time PokePunk!
