19 Water energy
2 switch
2 energy removal
2 bill
2 gust of wind
2 potion
1 bellsprout shrine
4 squirtle
2 wartortle
1 blastoise
4 krabby
2 kingler
3 horsea
1 seadra
3 staryu
2 poliwag
1 poliwhirl
2 seel
1 dewgong
1 lapras
2 ditto
1 articuno

THE STRATEGY: Mostly its just pokemon with attacks that cause status
changes and cost 1 energy. Also, Ditto is to deal with electric types, and
the articuno has no weakness, so he helps against electrics too. I put the
bellsprout shrine in to deal with th many normal types in decks I battle.
Squirtle and Krabby are the main pokemon, and kingler and blastoise help
if things get harry. Staryu does 20 damage for 1 water, so hes good too.
Fairly simple. A note, the gym leader says we can use japanese cards in
our decks, as long as we have a GOOD translation. I have another staryu to
replace it if my opponenent never uses normal type, or if you can't use
japanese cards.

THE BATTLES:

Round 1-
I don't know the name of who I played, but he used a normal/fighting deck.
It started with my squirtle and his rhyhorn. I knocked it out in a few
turns, then he put out another one. I kept it paralyzed untill it was
knocked out. Then I got wartortle and played bellsprout shrine. He had a
few Tauros. I then went to blastoise, and kicked his butt as he lay
helpless to bellsprout shrine.
WINs: 1 LOSS: 0

Round 2-
This guy is obssessed with team rockets mewtwo, and he uses a rainbow
energy with it. deadly. So I start with a krabby, he starts with Rockets
Mewtwo. I put one energy, he puts one energy, rainbow energy. The same
thing again. Then again. I evolve to kingler, and crabhammer him. He uses
the dreadeddamage swap and kills me. I put squrtle out. I keep it
paralyzed and knock it out. the game progresses like this, I can't
remember the details, but I won. I play him a lot, and its usually I win,
he wins, I win, he wins.
WINS: 2 LOSS: 0

Round 3-
An extremely fast electric deck. Murdered m3e with eevee, electabuzz, and
jolteon.
WINS: 2 LOSS: 1

I did not play any more that day, I watched my friend, who uses a
variation on my deck (he likes it), and traded. I usually Win.
