Hiya.  Last sunday, I competed in a tourney in Superhero City: Comics&Cards in Sewell, NJ.  The date is 4/9/00.  This deck was tons of fun to play with (and win with =)  This deck's idea was coppied off of my friend's deck, and it is based on getting out a chansey with 4 grass energies and a venusaur, and using double edge, energy transfer, pokemon center, double edge.  double edge, energy transfer, pokecenter, double edge.  it also works with scoop ups.  you either do that or get out a venusaur and just keep attacking with solarbeam.  however, this deck went beyond the theme in some of my games.  it's done a lot of stalling.  I hadn't thought stall decks worked up until this day - my pokecenters, itemfinders, and scoops POed a lot of people.

Here's the deck:

18 grass energy (with Venusaur, the energy amount can be cut down a bit)
3 DCE

4 Bulbasaur
3 Ivysaur (I tried using breeders, it really doesn't work because you have to discard it with oak, whereas ivysaur can be attached to bulbasaur before oaking)
2 Venusaur(all I have)
3 Chansey
4 Scyther

2 Itemfinder
2 Retrieval
4 ER
3 CPU
3 PokéCenter
2 gust of Wind
2 Scoop Up

Now for the report:

Round one

I was against this nice kid that played a deck using 4 lickitung, 4 hitmonchan and 4 promo mewtwo.  I began with scyther and him mewtwo.  I gusted out lickitung and slashed him in three turns for the kill(sith swords dance).  He then brought out Mewtwo and Psyburned.  At that time Venusaur was out and he finished off the Mewtwo and a hitmonchan.  Nice kid - not only did he have a good deck, but he was one of the few kids there that weren't @$$es.

1-0

Round Two

I fought a guy who won the award for "World's #1 Jack@$$".  This guy kept calling me "trash".  ouch, like that hurt my feelings!  Venusaur came out but with no energy, he kept thundershocking me and venusaur went down, and from that point on he destroyed my energyless Pokémon.  he kept making fun of me after that.  funny how nerdy this kid is, he's got glasses and braces and he's really skinny.... oh well...  enough about him... i give slops to this kid.

1-1

Round Three

I played against a little girl who played a Raindance.  This person was not a good matchup.  She got a a few blastoise out, but I got a venusaur out.  she kept super potioning when she was about to die anyway which was really stupid.  Scyther got a few slashes off of one blastoise, but it went cown.  i sent out venusaur and solarbeamed for the kill.  Then another blastoise came out, and with enough pokecenters and scoop ups, i stalled and won.

2-1

Round four

I played against a deck that ran Ditto, Fossil Magmar and Hitmonchan - four of each.  I thought i was screwed because of weakness, but i got a prize because he RETREATED A DITTO WITH 80 DAMAGE ON IT!  Prize!  I didnt get many prizes but he oaked more times so i decided to stall.  every time he sent out magmar i sent out chansey.  every time he sent out hitmonchan, i sent out scyther.  we kept retreating and retreating and he discarded more energy than me, and Pokecenter, scoop up, and itemfinder really got him angry.  he decked out and i won.

3-1

Round Five

I played against a haymaker with magmar.  Scyther and Chansey stalled for me a lot, but when I realized i had less cards in my deck than him, i realized i was stalling for HIM.  i tried attacking to get all of my prizes but that didn't work.

3-2

Round Six

I played against another haymaker variant with ditto.  Venusaur came out late in the game, and he was killing off most of his pokémon.  with one prize left and one card left in my deck, electabuzz paralized my venusaur.  I decided to scoop up venusaur, promote scyther, gust of wind out the hitmonchan with 60 damage on it and win with slash.

4-2

Finals vs. haymaker

Bulbasaur went down pretty fast after recieving two jabs from hitmonchan.  loss.

i come in something like 8th and recieve the ultimate prize- nothing.

That was a lot of fun though.  here's the props and slops.

Props to that kid i played against in the first game for not being a jack@$$ like the people i played against in the second game.

Props to the store owner Frank for running the Tourney.

Props to me for not bringing my binder of cards - there are many theives there.

Slops to the nerd  fought in game two for being a mean $%$#@%$#%@%%$%@%

Slops to this evil little blonde haired kid who called my brother "terrible."  my brother is only nine years old, you can't expect him to be good.  this kid makes fun of almost everyone there exept his friends - trust me, this is no kid you want to be friends with.
