This week, I play with Electabuzz for 2 reasons: 1. A few Raindance and
Bird decks are popping up. 2. Trying something new. Well the deck did ok
today, but I couldn't get the cards I wanted, or needed. But in the process,
I didn't give up and boosted my gaming a level. Sparks flew, flares flied,
and Mr. Mime meditated on to victory today, along with a Slash or two from
Scyther. I was 40 points away from my badge, lets see how things went:
(Things were a little fuzzy, so forgive and forget if not accurate :) )
Game 1 VS Kyle w/Potpourri (Movie Mewtwo and all)
My friends friend was my first match. He was playing a variation of
Potpourri with Promo Mewtwo. I drew a terrible hand of Mr. Mime and no
Psychic Energy! Yuck! He started Electabuzz, ouch. I went first, drew my
card, bill'd and got Scyther. I played the Mantis on the bench, layed an
Energy on him and passed. Over the course of the next few turns, I got
Scyther fully powered. Mr. Mime had 30 Damage on him so I scooped him up and
promoted Scyther. I then layed a Super Energy Removal down, and attacked for
30. As the course of the game he used a few bills and some oaks. I took a few
Hitmonchans down with 1 Scyther, and cleared the way for a Meditate over
Electabuzz. I sent Scyther to wreck more havoc on his Electabuzz's and
Mewtwo's. Near the end, I had 1 prize. I gusted Mewtwo Slashed, and next turn
Meditated. He got NO prizes...
Game 2 VS Ben w/Parrot head Wiggly (I think thats the name...)
Another week of the League means another game with Ben. Oh was this a
match, for me anyway. Ben always seems to deck himself against me. The
strategy of the deck was to get the cards you need, and with about 15 cards
in your deck to secure the win. By then the opponet should have used most
SER's and Wiggly would be livin large. Or he just beat the heck out of you in
the begining. I started with another lousy hand, and sent out 2 'buzz. He had
a lonely Scyther. He went first, and oaked. He got a few guys on his bench,
including Jigglypuff. I went, oak'd got Mr. Mime and played him to the bench.
The next turn he played 2 oak, and used up a crap load of bills. My Magmars,
SER's, ER's, Mr. Mime and Electabuzz stopped his mad rage. Near the end he
tried to get me with Mewtwo, but with some fine gusting ( and Energy
Removaling) and a promotion of  Kangaskhan I decked him.
Game 3 VS Kevin w/mime, mewtwo, hitmonchan, wiggly...it goes on and on
I really salute Kevin on this one. I underestimated his playing skills
(if he has any? just joking) and got cocky. Well the man upstairs didn't seem
to like it and gave me a Magmar to start with, fun. As I billd and oakd to
recover, I eventually saw my Scythers and Electabuzz. I fried a pair of Jynx,
knocked out a Jigglypuff, and sent a Mewtwo crying. I had 2 prizes left, and
a draw pile of about 12. The league was starting to close up, so we drew. He
insisted that he had won, but I had the prize advantage. He went around
trying to tell everyone he beat me, well next week I have some ghosts to
exorcise. hehehe
WAKE UP CALL TO Me! Man! I really underestimated my opponets today, and I got
bit in the butt! Well next week I am coming with a great deck that I have
been considering playing by (blank) (blank) ((Don't wanna give the deck away
and have someone make an anti to me! Aint that stupid!))

Well as you may know, I didn't go to the KB league, well.... instead I played
down at the food court. I had a few games, so lets see how ONE went....:
Game 1 VS Kid (about 15-16) w/Mostly Japanese deck Fire, with Gym's
Ninetales, and of course Charizard...He was at a Star Trek tourny, and
happend to bring his deck.
The lord had finally given me a great hand. It consisted of
Kangaskhan,2PlusPower,2Double Colorless, Gambler, and a SER!! I started
Kangaskhan to his Gym Moltres. I had pretty good understanding of what most
of his cards did (SUPRISE SUPRISE!) so I knew he couldn't cheat. I layed 70
on his Moltres with a PlusPower, and he played a Vulpix. It was base set, and
next turn he tried to evolve it to a Gym's Ninetales. Well, days earlier, I
read in a Pojo (thanks you guys!) that you cannot do that. Well since he
looked new, said you couldn't attack first turn, and thought he could pretty
much Raindance DCE's because they were not Basic Energy (go figure!) I
decided to let it slide. He evolved his Ninetales to a Charizard (Yes, thats
legal with the gym one) and tried to do 50 to a benched Scyther. He finally
got 50 on one, but my Kangaskhan had finished him off 2 turns later for the
victory.
Well after that I played the Gym Leader (he happened to still be there) a few
times for fun. We never got a real good game off because he played his
Psychic deck, and I started Kangaskhan. Nuff said. So I told him to switch
decks, he did and played the Mark Woodworth wiggly deck. But then my Mom
came! Sheesh! After the league I went to see The Green Mile, very sad. Well
that's all for now...errr...wait! PROPS and SLOPS time!
Props Kevin for giving me a wake up call. I can't deck you because you play
no Oaks, I dont know if thats good or bad?!
Slops A short one to me for getting cocky.
Well thats all for now, thanks for reading. Send all deck ideas, and
comlaints to CorranHorn8386@aol.com. See ya!
