The tournament was held at Evan's Department in Two Rivers, Wisconsin on April 1st, 2000. About 30-35 kids participated. My deck was pretty good. Whenever I play against my friends, I almost always lose. That's because everyone's decks are better than mine. I call my deck Zap!13. It's my recreated Zap! deck. I have Psychic and Electric Pokemon.  13 is my lucky number. My name is Matt Miles. My friends call me M.J. Anyway, here's my deck.

Round 1 vs. Joe (fighting deck)

This match was over in 30 seconds. He draws a Mysterious Fossil and attaches an energy.
I draw an Abra and attach an energy. I use Psyshock. He's finished.
(1-0)

Round 2 vs. Brad (Colorless, electric)

This one took a little longer. I shuffle and draw a Pikachu and an
Abra. I attach energy to Pikachu and gnaw his Jigglypuff. He keeps
drawing and getting no energy. I eventually gnaw his Jigglypuff to defeat. He draws an Electabuzz. I attach one more energy to Pikachu
and evolve it into Raichu. I Gigashock his Buzz to nothing and the
rest of his Pokemon too. His Wigglytuff knocks out Raichu, but I whip out Magneton and Self-destruct. I take my last prize.
(2-0)

Round 3 vs. Kevin (fighting, water)

He uses a fighting and water deck. This is too easy. I draw a Pikachu, Magnemite, and Magneton. He draws a Squirtle and sends it out. I attach an energy to Magnemite and send out Pikachu to stall. He doesn't attack. I attach another energy to Magnemite, use Switch, and Self-destruct Magnemite. He has no benched Pokemon. I win.
(3-0)

Round 4 final vs. Bill (fighting, electric)

I start by drawing a Magnemite and 2 electric energy. I attach one and send out Magnemite. He draws a base-set Pikachu. I Thunderwave. He's paralyzed. I attach energy and Self-destruct. He has no benched Pokemon. Neither do I. Sudden Death. We re-shuffle and I get a promo Pikachu, potion and 2 electric energy. He gets a Machop. My turn. I draw my Mewtwo. I attach energy to Pikachu and can't attack. He Low Kicks me. Does 40 to Pikachu 'cause of weakness. It's pure luck from here on in. I attach energy and Thundershock. I flip heads. AMEN! He can't attack. I draw Raichu and evolve. I can't attack. He Low Kicks. 80 total on Raichu. I'm one turn from losing. Thank god I draw Switch. I Switch Raichu and Mewtwo. I attach energy to Mewtwo. Use a Bill. Draw 1 Psychic energy and 1 electric energy. I don't attack. He Low Kicks. 20 on Mewtwo. I attach energy to Mewtwo and don't attack. He potions his Machop and Low Kicks. I attach one final energy and Psyburn. Machop's knocked out due to weakness to psychic. I win, finally.
