                    THE TOURNAMENT
I am very sorry, this is April and the tourney was in Feb., so I don't
exactly remember everything that was in my deck at the time. Please, Scott,
post this anyway. Here are the cards that I remember:

4 Lapras
3 Articuno
3 Scyther
3 Ditto

( I don't remember how many I had of each of these )
Plus Powers, Pokemon Traders, Pro. Oaks, Bills, GOWs, Energy Removals, 1
Comp. Search, 1 SER, Switches, Scoop-Ups...

Around 22 Water energy
The strategy of this deck(which I made up to sort of become a
Haymaker variant w/o Hitmo or 'Buzz) is to use Scyther and Articuno to keep
fighting decks at bay, while Ditto is a back-up heavy hitter and has endless
possibilities, and Lapras is ther to take out those annoying Mimes'. Articuno
is my main man( or should I say main bird). Anyway, on with the report...

Round 1: Me vs Kid w/ electric and psychic
We accidentally started before we were supposed to, so we had to start
over( actually, we just drew our hands, mine was bad so I was kinda happy).
Anyway, he had energy problems and I took care of his Base Mewtwo and Base
Buzz quickly.
Record: 1-0 Note: After this match, I went over to watch my brother play.
There was no coaching allowed, so I knew not to say anything. But, I had to,
and almost got kicked out for it, because the jerk my brother was playing was
cheating! He was supposed to let my bro flip a coin for F. Haunter's
Transparency Power when he attacked w/ Snorlax, but he didn't, like twice! Of
course, I stepped in to explain Haunter's Power to the kid, but he wouldn't
listen or let my brother flip! Then he got mad, because he knew I was right,
and tried to get me disqualified for " coaching! WHAT!!! After he preceeded
to lose to my bro anyway, he came by me and said something bad about me, and
went to tell the judge. Luckily, they realized he was a
fruitcake and ignored him.

Round 2: Me vs Kid w/ his dad w/ Fighting deck( LOL)
This was very easy as he had Hitmonlee, Machop, and Diglett. My Scyther
and Articuno's Resistance won me this one.
Record:2-0

Round 3:Me vs Psychic and Colorless Deck
This was messed up big time. The kid was like 8 or 9, also w/ his dad, w/
hardly any experience, I could tell, and I managed to KO an Abra and a
Kadabra w/ Ditto, my ONLY Pokemon, but I didn't want to use the Oak in my
hand because I had a lot of things I could not use but did not want to
discard. I should have, because he sent out Mew, attached a Psy energy, and
used Psywave for 60. ( I had three energy on Ditto) Man, I guess I was not
paying attention! How embarrassing!!!
Record:2-1

Round 4:Me vs Psy/Electric
This guy had an odd deck of Mews and Electabuzz and
Gastly(Fossil, of course). Anyway, this match went slow, and time was called.
If they had said something to remind us how much time we had left, I would
not have lost, because he had 3 Prizes and I had 4. In my hand was a GOW,
Scyther was Active(mine), Ditto was on my bench, as well as other things, and
he had a Gastly with 40 damage on his bench. It was my turn, and just before
I could Gust the Gastly out, retreat Scyther, and KO him w/ Ditto, for the
Sudden Death match, time ran out! Man, I have been screwed twice in a
row!!!!!!
Record:2-2

Round 5:Me vs My friend, w/ Electric/Fire
I kept him from attacking me after Gusting out his Base Magmar and Removaling
it a lot. During that time, I built up Articuno. After that, I just took out
one Pokemon after another, which were mostly Fire anyway, and it was pretty
easy.
Record:3-2

Round 6: Me vs Articuno/Lapras Raindance
We accidentally started playing before we were supposed to( I did that once
already!)and he was getting beat, so he was glad we had to start over. He
managed to get Blastoise out in the real game, but since I play Ditto and
water energy, I managed to run him out of Basics, all except
for...drumroll...   Blastoise, so when he sent it out, I took full advantage
of copying his Rain Dance Power. I did Hydro Pump after powering Articuno up
on the bench w/ Rain Dance, and he knocked Ditto out on his next turn. I sent
out Articuno and used Blizzard for the win.
Record:4-2

I was really nervous because only people with 5-1 or 6-0 records  got into
the finals automatically, and 4-2 people like me had to wait and see if their
was room for them. Luckily, there was! Yeah, I'm in the finals!

Round 1 of Finals: Me vs Conner w/ WigglyMaker
I am very proud of this match, which was one of the best I've ever had w/ a
kid that was only 5 or 6! His mom, dad, and brother all also played Pokemon,
and his mom and dad were really good. Last time I played him at a way smaller
tournament in January, he was using his dad's Rain Dance, which I beat w/ my
first Water deck easily. This time, it was different.
Actually, I think he had either 2 or 3 Prizes left, when he decked out,
so it wasn't really as close as I thought. I can't remeber how many I had.
But, after too many Bill's and Oak's to power up Wigglytuff, like I said, he
decked out.
Record:5-2

Round 2 of Finals: Me vs Travis w/ Fighting and Grass( and colorless)
This is probably the most memorable match I had of the entire day( which was
about 10 hours of playing Pokemon ). It was really close for a while, but I
was lucky that he played Hitmonchan and 'Lee.My Articuno's and Scyther took
care of them. But, suprisingly, his Pinsir really had me worried as he
powered it up to do Guillotine, and used it a couple o' times, but after a
long, good battle, I emerged as the victor.
Record:6-2

Round 3 of Finals: Me vs My brother w/ Psy/ Electric
This was messed up; I had to play my brother, who was using a deck I made him
w/ Electabuzz, F. Gastly and F. Haunter, and Mr. Mime( there were a few
others, like some Pikachu and Lickitung). He had suprisingly gotten a 5-1
record in the qualifying matches, but I beat him pretty quick as he had a lot
of energy problems. Good match.
Record:7-2

FINAL MATCH: Me vs Cory w/ a Wiggly Deck( but not WigglyMaker)
As I was waiting to play in the final match, I watched Cory and a kid named
Pat play to see who my opponent would be. I thought that I would have an easy
time against Cory if I had to battle him, because, although his deck was not
a WigglyMaker, it did contain Hitmonchan, which helped him win the match
against Pat a lot. But, after a long, close game,w/ me having about 3 cards
in my deck and both of us having 1 Prize left, he used Do the Wave on
Articuno, which did 60.On my turn, having no other choice but to use Freeze
Dry and hope he was paralyzed so he couldn't attack and KO me, plus I would
KO him for the win on my next turn w/ Blizzard,I flipped.....HEADS!!!!!!But,
what I suprise! He was paralyzed, about to lose, when he used a Switch! He
sent out a Scyther and retreated for 'Tuff, used 'Wave, and I had lost.
Still, it was a great game!
Final record:7-3

For winning second in my age group, I got a cool trophy w/ a James figure on
it, Poliwrath, 1st Edition Pre-Release Aerodactyl, Dugtrio, Promo Pikach( Ivy
Promo),Holo Vileplume, and another Boulder Badge. It was a lot of fun, and
earlier on, I won Pokemon Snap during this raffling prize giveaway!
