It was approaching 2 O'clock...I decided to take my leave from my Uncle's baseball tournament and head on over to Deja Vu Games, I went with my sister this week, but my friend Alex couldn't make it because he screwed his ankle or something :(  So it was me and my sister this week and things were looking pretty good since there was only 13 Participants, but the prizes wern't as good :(
Once again I used Haymaker Potpourri, (Scott Gerhardt's deck) and I was gonna change it up a bit, but I arrived at Deja Vu Games a bit to late for quick tweaking, so what I had would have to be good enough.  Here's the deck list if you still don't know its basic contents by now :)

The tournament this week went by fairly quick, it was all done by about 3:45 PM, which was about 1 hour and 45 Min.  That's pretty fast when your playing with a crowd of 7-8 KIDS :)  Any longer and I would have had a headache or something.  Well anyway here's what happened...
Round 1-VS Mike ?. with Fighting/Grass
Just some kid I whacked pretty fast, he did try to use a Erika's Clefable though, but I caught him and informed the Judge.  It wouldn't of mattered since I don't think he played with a Clefairy anyway.  I had to show him the basics of the game, and I won easily, Hitmonchan and Scyther cleared everything way nice and easy.

Round 2-VS Mike M. with Mono/Water *This Mike is not the same as the Mike above*

He stalled with a Seel at the beginning while pumping his Gyarados up, but it wouldn't matter I had a pumped Scyther waiting for him on the bench.  Hitmonchan got rid of the Seel and then I let Hitmonchan die and promoted Scyther.  Slashed Gyarados in two and let him send out a bunch of other weak basics, a Meowth that I sent Hitmonchan after then another Seel that Electabuzz fried.  Just matched up the weakness for the rest of the game, and won another easy match.

Round 3-Jon Y. with Colorless
His deck was sort of a stall deck, full of big beefy colorless Pokemon, he played with like 4 Potions, 4 Super Potion and 4 Pokemon Center.  Therefore it took a while until I was able to kill some of his Pokemon, Hitmonchan dominated his deck, accept for a Fearow that I used Electabuzz to fry, but all and all Hitmonchan killed all.  Another easy match, but I paid for these easy matches, another guy is undefeated right now just like me, but he is in first since he faced off against harder opponents, while I faced off a bunch of newbies.  Hope I face a opponent with a better Match Record.
Record: 3-0

Round 4-VS Dim ?. with Fighting/Water
First off this guy does not have a good match record, so I won't get a good enough tie breaker to pull ahead into first place, damn :(  Well I beat him down with my good old Scyther, he couldn't get any energy at all I saw maybe 2 Blue energy and 1 D.C.E., but they were all removed.  He's MEGA energy screwed, its over for him, I even got a little confidant and sent my Ponyta out to take down several Water Pokemon, but can't have to much fun, back to work I send out my Scyther again and play like I should play :)  I win easily, I forgot to ask him how many energies he had in his deck, it was either he played with like 5 energies or it was really bad luck for him.

Record: 4-0

Round 5-VS Cory S. with Haymaker
This is the guy who is in first right now, so If I win against him I get 1st, if I don't he gets 1st, he proved easier then I expected, he constantly retreated and switched his Pokemon, resulting in my Mr. Mime going on a killing spree on a bunch Scyther's with 30 Damage.  I played this match with confidence and didn't have to Oak twice, once was all I needed.  He jumped around for the entire game, but as I said before Mr. Mime caught up with him and kicked some serious @$$!!  He knew he was doomed, my energy removals were what made him retreat and switch like that, allowing Mr. Mime to be a winner of this match.

That was the final round, and since I won it, I got 1st!  Yeah! What a surpass :)  I got One 1st Edition Jungle Boosters and Two Base Set Booster, the rares I got were, Nidoqueen, Ninetails and a Comp. Search.  My sister finished 3rd and got One 1st Edition Jungle Booster, she got a Holo. Clefable.

NEWS!

I got a rating for Pokemon, at last!  My rating is 1705, I know its not that good, but I'm working on it, Wizards is extremely slow on updating this stuff :(  Also my rankings are as follows...164 Global, 164 North America, 9 Canada, 5 Ontario, so I'm pretty proud of my accomplishments :)
Enough about that now its time for this weeks PROPS and SLOPS!
PROPS to Alex K. for not dying and only twisting his ankle :) Get better soon :)
PROPS to Aunt and Uncle for letting me take an early leave from the Baseball Tournament so I can catch the Pokemon Tournament.
PROPS to My sister for finishing in 3rd and not 1st :)

SLOPS to My first 4 opponents for being newbies.
That's it for this week, next week Fossil may be released, but doubtful since I live in Canada :(
