This Deck was played at Gencon, Milwaukee. There were about 35 people in my age group. Well I arrived at gencon and set out to prepare for the Tournament later in the day. No i did not play Tyler since i am a week away from being in the age group he played in. Anyways, After Shielding my foils and the rest of my deck, i made final adjustments and went to play. After a long line and a half hour of sitting there doing nothing but tinkering with my deck, we sat down to play: my deck: Energy: 2 Double Colorless 10 fighting 11 Water Pokemon: 1 Hitmonchan 3 Machops 2 Machoke 1 Machamp 3 Seels 2 Dewgongs 1 Lickitung 3 Rhyhorns 2 Rhydons 3 poliwag 2 Poliwhirl 1 Poliwrath 1 Chansey 3 Eevee 2 Vaporeon Trainers: 1 Computer Search 2 Prof Oak 2 bill 1 Energy Retreival The tourney was a 6 game tourney, were we played six games and the best record won. Round 1: I was playing against some sort of Electric Psy deck and got nervous. It was all for naught of course.... My pokemon i started out with was Rhyhorn, i had a Double colorless and 1 fighting and 2 water energy in my hand, on the bench i put a Chansey and Machop. Well he had an ALL electric bench to start out. My rhyhorn wasnt even TOUCHED by his onsluaght of electricity and eventually the horn attack knocked out all his basics, nothing to replace them so i won. Round 2: I was pretty worried, i was playing some kid with a Grass/psy deck. My deck is not good against those colors, so i got ner vous. My starting pokemon was a machop and his was an abra, i had a full bench he didnt. I low kicked first turn and his only chance of surviving was to paralyze me... The coin flipped... rolled around...and landed. TAILS. Low kick, no basics left, game over. I win. Round 3: I played a colorless/Electric deck. His colorless mostly resisted fighting, but after a few turns i managed to pull a hitmonchan and Poliwrath. I used Hitmonchan to waste his electricity, then poliwrath took care of the fighting resistant pokemon. Game ended pretty fast. Outcome: WIN Round 4: I Played a kid named jeff, and it was a close match. He played Water/colorless/psy so no real advantages for him or I. It was down to 1 prize each after i got a poliwrath up against a Mr.Mime, it was a standoff. I removed energy with whirlpool, but couldnt hurt the mime. Eventually, my Poliwrath was stripped down by energy removals and he brought out a chansey to finish me off. Outcome: LOSS Round 5: Played a STRAIGHT electric deck. It was my friend, but that didnt stop me from mercilessly slaughtering all the electabuzz and Pikachu he could manage to get out with Hitmonchans Special punch. It was Over pretty Quick. OUtcome: WIN Round 6: This was another advantage for me, i played a girl named Ashley, who used Fire/electric meaning my water can waste the fire and my fighting could waste the electric pokemon. It was over pretty fast since i got in my draw a bill an oak a hitmonchan and chansey and Seel W/dewgong Well i had a record of 5-1, and tied for first. I only got 2 jungle packs since the other person with 5-1 played the more advanced league for more than one game.
