Classy Cat -by MW 4 Meowth (Evolves into the greatest Jungle card) 3 Persian (MVP!!!!!!!!) 4 Hitmonchan (Quick hits) 3 Mr.Mime (Biggy dies!) 2 Mewtwo (Psy/Fight/Psy weak Grass killer) 10 Fighting 12 Psychic 4 Double Colorless 3 Bill 3 Prof. Oak 3 PlusPower 3 Energy Removal 2 Super Energy Removal 3 Computer Search 1 Lass (too counter stall decks) Tournament Info Where: Heroes Unlimited, Inc. Roselle, IL How Many: About 30 Participants OK. I had just picked up 20 Jungle Boosters at Game Keeper int he morning, and threw together this deck. I only got 3 Mr.Mimes, so don't suggest adding one. Anyway, the basic strategy is to hit quick with Hitmo and Persian, fight Psychic or Fighting with Mewtwo, and fight heavy-hitters with Mr.Mime. Lass is there to counter stall decks (save a bunch of trainers, then play Lass) Round 1 - my bro and his Fighting/Grass Jungle deck This was bad. I had just made his deck and this was his first tournament. Anyway, my opening Hitmo stomped his two starting Mankeys, then Spearow came out and ultimatly knocked out Hitmo as Fearow. My Persian came out, as his Snorlax was his only bench, and a Mewtwo and a Mime had landed on my bench. No Psy energy, though. My Persian pounce 4 times (Agility worked once), and only took 50 damage, although without Pounce he would've died. Snorlax comes out to stall (A great staller when the Status Effect decks hit, with his power, Thick Skinned). I was hit with a Pinsir, who knocked out Persian, and a Hitmo took out Pinsir. Two Mankey's were stomped by the Mime. Record: 1-0 Round 2 - a kid with a Speedrill variant Well, this Electric/Grass had a Bulbasaur tree splashed in. Intresting. I handled this match with an opening Hitmo with a benched Meowth. Hitmo took down two Weedles, and Poison got the best of Hitmo. The Meowth came out, Pay Dayed once, and I drew a Persian! Next turn, Bulbasaur comes out as another lands on his bench. Persian Pounced Bulba as an Electrode came out. Never could get that energy out though. Killed 3 Pokes with Persian when Venusaur came out. A removed that tub of lard and fdinished him with Hitmo. I was gaining momentum. Round 3 - Tim P. with a Fight/Blue deck A Blastoise deck with added Hitmos. Persian saw the most action, along with Mr.Mime. Persian simply annihalated Hitmo, surprisingly. Hitmo pulled off 60 before falling, and then Squirtle was Pounced. Mr.Mime came out, and it was game over 'cuz all he saw were Hitmos. A Machop came down, became Machamp when the Mime died. Persian came out, Pounced away and finished two Hitmo's quickly. Amazing what the cat can do. Machamp was an easy target for Persian, then I ended fast with Mr.Mime. Round 4 - Semi-Finals vs. Ray and his Psy/Electric Well, what can I say. Persian was ready on the bench, and Hitmo quickly got the best of two Electas. The second finally got Hitmo, but Persian Pounced to victory. I make it to the finals, first time since April baby! Round 5 - Finals vs. a teen with a Haymaker Well, there would've been another Round, but so many people left suddenly, so it was just me and this teen (forgot his name, sorry man). Anyway, Its back and forth the whole game, Mewtwo fries his Farfetch'd and Hitmo, Persian takes out all 3 of his Buzz's, leaving a Mime vs. a Farfetch'd (3 counters), and two benched Pokemon. It came down to a coin flip. i had 1 card left, he Thundershocked with Buzz, he flips. heads I deck myself, tails I win the match. Tails. I score victory. This kicked ass. And I thank most of it too Persian, the kick ass MVP of my deck. This is possibly one of the surprising best decks of the Summer. Beware of variants! -Sent by MW BobMW64@aol.com
