This deck was used at a local card shop's sanctioned tournament with around 
20 people in it. It placed 1st.

The main point of BASIC BEATDOWN is to attack so quickly and powerfully that 
they don't have any time to evolve or energize their pokemon before their 
demise. Zapdos is put in for later in the game so if most of your pokemon 
cannot make it, it will inflict some heavy damage. All the pokemon in this 
deck can attack with just one energy (except Zapdos), so that is what makes 
this deck so fast. I added the Energy Retrievals to help obtain the right 
kind of energy for your pokemon.
