This deck is a pure water deck, is uses trainers such as potion and energy removal to defend the weak basic pokemon(like magikarp). Staryu in as a quick defender like hitmonchan to make-up for the weak basics. There is tons of water energy in this deck so I can have the energy I need when I get an eveolution card, retreat cost, and for trainers like super potion which use an energy. My only regret is 4 Magikarp, I have them in this deck because I need the Gyarados which are strong against fighting and he the only one which is not weak against electric, but grass. 21 water energy Pokemon- 4 Sqirtle 3 Wartortle 2 Blastoise 4 Magikarp 3 Gyarados 4 Staryu Trainers- 4 Bill 4 Potion 4 Energy Removal 3 Super Potion 4 Gust of wind Here is my record at a tournament in Athens Ga, at a books-a-million store. (single rounds) round one- This was my friend, Drew, he had a electric/Fire deck and he was braggin about how he was going to beat me. He went first, he started with an electabuzz (AAA!) and I started with a staryu (thats the best starter I could get.) and magikarp. He paralyzed my staryu with thunderpunch so I decided to use a water energy on magikarp( I had a Gyarados in my hand.). Next turn he finished my staryu and I brought up my magikarp, I evolved him into Gyarados and add another energy. He used thundershock for 30 damage to Gyarados, 10 damage to Electabuzz. I added a third energy, use a potion and dragonraged for 50 damage. He benched a Magmar added a fire energy to him and used Electabuzz's thundershock for 40 damage to Gyarados, for a total of 50 damage, I used dragonrage finishing electabuzz and getting a sqirtle as a prize card. His magmar could not Attack so I finished it with dragonrage.WIN! round two- Now I was going against (forgot his name) and he had a electric/psychic deck! (not again) Well all I can say was I stared the game out by beating his pokemon with staryus, later I had a Blastoise out but he finished it in one hit with Elecrode.LOSE!!! At least I got a Charizard in a booster while I was there. I'd like some input, E-mail me! Cyrus@imaginemail.com Free, fast e-mail accessible anytime, anywhere http://www.imaginemail.com
