Hey pojo, whats up. We had a tournament today at the card shop, it was 46 people. Everyone played 5 best two out of three games to see who would place in the top eight. Here's my deck contents: Punching Your Shocked Mind! 7 Fighting Energy 7 Electric Energy 7 Pyschic Energy 3 Double Colorless Energy 3 Hitmonchan 3 Electabuzz 3 Jynx 3 Farfetch'd 4 Bill - 3 Professor Oak 4 Energy Removal - 2 Super Energy Removal 4 Potion 3 Pluspower 1 Scoop Up 3 Energy Retrieval ROUND ONE(0-0): I was playing this guy named Lucas. I'm pretty sure he was playing a fighting deck. GAME ONE: Not all that hard. Jynx is the easy quick killer for me. Woohoo. GAME TWO: Electabuzz is only basic, >:-(. Ah well, I figure I'll deal with it. He does good with trainer support, and then I get Jynx. Scoop up and let Jynx layeth the smacketh downeth! ROUND TWO(2-0): Second match for me. I play Andy Larson, another guy who went two and out in the first round. He's playing a raindance deck. GAME ONE: Almost too easy. Hitmonchan pluspowers first turn to kill a Magikarp. Needless to say, Andy was pissed. GAME TWO: This time he's doing ok. Garydos is being my daddy until i top-deck a professor oak to get a super and two energy removals! Garydos plummets back to a loser and I finish him with an Electabuzz. Cool! ROUND THREE(4-0): I'm doing much better then I anticipated against the raindance deck. This time It's Anthony Calderon, I've played him before. He's playing a pure pyschic deck. GAME ONE: Anthony ain't the greatest deck-builder. He has too many energies, and lame guys like gastly and haunter. Sorry man. GAME TWO: Surprising game, really. He uses an Abra-Kadabra-Alakazam! thing to use pokecenters and another kadabra to hit my guys hard. Crud, my first game loss. GAME THREE: Well, abra gets his butt kicked by Farfetch'd. Finally Farfetch'd gets in on the action! ROUND FOUR(5-1): Playing George Datskos- he was playing a weird deck, like, all of the colors. I think he was 1-5 or something, hehe. He had one of every ok card i guess- it sorta sucked. GAME ONE: Quick beatdown. I think i saw a fire pokemon with like a grass and double colorless energy, lol. GAME TWO: Man, its almost insulting to be forced to play losers like this. Oh well, thats two free wins for me... Felt bad winning em that way tho. No fun at all! ROUND FIVE(7-1): Against Rodger something or other. He was playing a nice pyschic/grass deck with Alakazam and Venusaur+pokemon center combo. Four Chanseys to fit the theme too. =) GAME ONE: Good god it was fast. One Chansey is out against Hitmonchan. Three turn kill, he just had no double colorless to kill my one Hitmonchan. Tuff luck, sometimes those scrunches DO land on tails. GAME TWO: Got out his combo- and beat me up. Geez, he did it FAST! GAME THREE: He gets out his combo, and I have my guys beating up all of his. He really can't hold off my relentless energy removal assault, and potioning or scooping up anything he hurts just to put in another fully-pumped guy out. I eventually won, but I give this guy credit. He's in the top eight, with a 7-3 rec, just about as good as me. I was 8-2. FINAL EIGHT!!! ROUND ONE: Playing against Adam Lawson, ANOTHER Pyschic/Grass deck with almost the same cards. Really, Adam let Rodger copy his deck. It's a good one, I might make it some time. GAME ONE: Sort of back and forth for a while, but I maintain the upper end of the battle and come out on top. GAME TWO: Wow, Bulbasaur is no match for Farfetch'd with pluspower! Sorry man, I do hate robbing people. ROUND TWO: Against Robby blablabla. I'm not good with last names alot of the time, lol. He had a raindance deck- a GOOD one. GAME ONE: He got a Squirtle and bubbled Farfetch'd. Next turn he lays down another water, and evolves to wartortle (guess he heard about my lucky coin flips and pluspowers looming in first hands sometimes). We both have no other basics. He fails to withdraw. I slap down a double colorless to make three energies and deal 40 with a pluspower, thinking he cant beat Farfetch'd next turn with bite. But, he energy removals, evolves into Blastoise, smacks down three energies and potions and then finally prof. oaks. WOW! GAME TWO: First turn Farfetch'd - Magikarp stompdown. Cool! GAME THREE: He gets out Dewgong on third turn, energy removals and potions and kills me pretty easy. Kudos to this guy, he's a great water deck builder. I placed third cuz i went to third game- other guy who dropped out in second round of final eight fell 2 and out. I did pretty good, just wish I had an Electabuzz against those damn water pokemon... Hehe ah well peace-out! _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com
