Eric Mcfarland's Deck:
  Rock Bottom

Here's my ultimate ground deck. It won me at least
3rd place in all the tourneys I've gone to. Only 4 :(

  Energy
  22x fighting energy
  1x DCE

  Pokemon
  3x Rhyhorn (Good staller, horn
attack =30, and a great evolution.)
  2x Rhydon (Horn attack first=30
then 50 that kills almost all stage 1

plus with Golem's selfdestruct, he's also a bench killer.)
  4x Geodude (Theoretical infinity
  damage!)
3x Graveler (Harden if needed but
  Rock Throw is tight!)
2x Golem (60 damage and knock out
  punch!, selfdestruct. Four

  retreat really sucks though.)

2x Hitmonchan (What can I say, BEST
  BASIC IN THE GAME!!!)

  2x Lickingtung (one word, STALLER)

  Trainers
  3x Potion
  1x Super Potion
  2x Energy Retrieval
  1x Pokedex
  1x Professor Oak
  1x Bill
  1x Gambler
  1x Gust of Wind
  1x Switch
  1x Defender

Here's how the tourney went. It was held at
Alliance Comics and Cards in Elk Grove. About 16 People showed,
so they had four rounds of three games a piece. The top prize was 10
first-edition pack of your choice. (jungle or fossil :( )

1st Round: Me against this loser Emmanuel,
one of my friends. His deck was called New Age Haymaker. I got a great
hand with Hitmonchan, Rhyhorn, Rhydon, Professor Oak, and 3
energies. I sent Hitmonchan up and he sent out Promo Mewtwo. I asked
the judge and he said they were illegal, he said I win this match and
he'll have to replace them and play next match.
  Record: 1-0

Round 2: I played this tight raindance deck which
the guy showed me earlier. I got 5 energies, Rhyhorn, and Bill. I
sent out Rhyhorn and stalled his Lapras four four turns. I feel
sorry for that tail flipper. I got out my Rhydon and Hitmonchan beefed up. And
killed his Lapras, squirtle which for some reason couldn't get wartortle out,
I Rammed his Seel, which he evolved later. Then he sent a wartortle and
just kept withdrawing. He sent back his dewgong and kill my Rhydon. I
sent Hitmonchan and finish him off.

  Record: 2-0

  Round 3: A bye

  Record: 3-0

Round 4, The championship match: I just got
lucky enough to fight this kid Joey, everyone was afraid of his ELECTRIC
DECK. I just started laughing. And to make a long story short, Goedude,
Gravler, Golem, and Rhyhorn killed him in about 10 turns. He started crying so
I gave him a Fossil booster which he Holo-Gengar which ticked me off!

  Record 4-0
