This deck is called the Aloe Vera deck.  I played in a tournament at Pat's Sports Cards in Lodi, California on October 30, 1999.  I ended up with second place and there were about 20 people there.  Here is my Aloe Vera deck:

4 Bulbasaur
(3 Breeders, they are mentioned below, but I thought I'd let you know that I had them.)
2 Venusaur
2 Clefairy
1 Clefable
4 Scyther
2 Jigglypuff(to take care of annoying Mimes)

4 Computer Search(to search for dbl colorless, oak, scyther, breeder, or venusaur, thats why i dont use trader)
4 Energy Search
3 Pokemon Breeder
3 Plus Power
3 Gust of Wind
3 Bill
3 Pokemon Center
2 Professor Oak

16 Grass Energy
4 Double Colorless Energy

Ok, here's how the tournament went:
There was a red and blue version.  The red version played first and I was in the blue version so I sat around for a while.  Then, there were more people in the blue version, so I had to wait until one of blue version's matches were finished.  I didn't play my first game until about an hour and a half after the tournament started!!!  Oh well.

First match, versus someone from my high schools rival high school!(I have to win!!)

He has to take out 7 Grass Energies from his deck before we start because he just designed his deck and supposedly recounted wrong...: (  First game he starts with a Koffing, I start with a Scyther.  I go first, Swords Dance.  He has no energies, my turn.  I lay a double colorless and slash, for the kill.  Then he plays a nidoran female.  I gust of wind for a caterpie, plus power, another kill.  Anyways, I do that for a while and he gets only one energy the whole game, and I win by prizes.  Game two the same thing happens, although he gets out a kakuna and a metapod, and they take more than one turn to kill, so it lasted a little longer!  LOL!

Round two, against a thirteen year old playing mono electric:
This guy was really nice, but I basically creamed his pikachus and voltorbs.  He got out a zapdos and buzzaped with an electrode and killed my scyther, but i had another one waiting on the bench...
The second game it was the same, but he killed one of my venusaurs with his zapdos, but he had to remove all of its energies, so i just let it sit there while i built up another venusaur, and then i wiped him out.

Round 3, against a good mono grass deck:
This guy was good.  I watched him play his last match(I guess scouting was legal cuz everyone in the whole place was watching this match) and his deck was similar to mine with the cpu searches, scythers, jigglypuffs, but no venusaurs.  He replaced venusaurs with koffings and dragonairs and he played a ton of energy removal.
The first game we both started with a jigglypuff and dropped a scyther on the bench.  Our jigglypuffs pounded each other for a while, then he evolved to wiggly, killed my jiggly, then i killed his wiggly with a scyther.  he then swords danced, i slashed, he attached a plus power and killed my scyther.  I sent out an energyless scyther and attached a grass energy, he slashed, i put out another scyther, retreated and attached another grass energy to the old scyther.  Then the next turn i drew my venusaur and used a breeder to evolve.  I then used venusaur to win the game.  Time was running out so we played sudden death the next two rounds.  I drew only two bulbasaurs...He had a scyther, game over.  The next game i got to go first and we both played scythers, but i had a double colorless and cpu search in my hand and i knew i won.  I swords danced, layed dbl colorless, cpu searched for plus power, and i won.  YA!  I'm in the finals, barely...

Round 4, the finals versus 18 year old who is very good.
He plays almost the exact same deck as the last guy.  He started with a koffing, i start with bulbasaur...ug.  I play a grass energy, he plays a grass energy, i leech seed, he foul gasses and i'm confused.  I try to leech seed, but it fails, bad move on my part, i was thinking bulobasaur had 50 HP, he foul gasses and I lose.
In game 2 he had farfetch and i had scyther, both decks were working very well, i got a venusaur down the line, when things were even and it changed the game.  He had scyther against venusaur, slashed, i solar beam, he slashes, i pokemon center(after moving energies) and then kill him, he put out a koffing, which hurt me a bit with poison and confusion, then another koffing, but eventually i won.
In game 3 he starts with a scyther, i start with a jigglypuff, i try everything i can to get another basic, but i cant game, over, i lose and finish in second place.

I end up with a first edition fossil and a base set booster for prizes, i got a non-holo dragonite and a pokemon breeder(like i don't have enough already!!!)

Props to Pat's for having a tournament with many people
Props to my friend Jason for staying with me the whole time even though he lost in the first round with his rain dance.

Slops to Pat's for making it expensive, having crappy prizes, and not organizing it well(it took 4 hours for a 20 person tournament!!)
Slops to guy from rival high school(grrrr...)

Anyways, if you got to here, I thank you for reading!
